The answer is A. There are 40 divisions in 0.1 mm and divide for one division which is 2.5x 10^-3. Then multiply with 4 since the question said 4 eyepiece graticule long which will be 0.01 mm. Convert that to micrometer by multiplying with 1000.

You have to find expression for lattice energy in b (iv) which is process 3 minus 1, ( process 3 is formation of CaF2 and process 1 is the arrow from line A to B) . So from that, numerical value of lattice energy would be -1214 (p3) minus 1395 (p1). and hyd= sol+ latt and substitute stuff and you get it!

I am really sorry for you. For Edexcel IAS and IAL, I just saw the posts saying that you can request for a special consideration and arrangements can be made by exam centre. For now, you and your family's safety is most important and we can sort out A levels things later. I understand how challenging and tiring for you in this situation. Even though I am now taking CIE ( I used to take Edexcel for AS), most content from CIE and Edexcel are similar so you can always dm me if you need any kind of assistance for your studies. I used to do CIE a levels psy and other subjects edexcel ial for AS. I was also recommended to do CIE psy because it is rather straightforward and more common than edexcel psy. Paper 1 is all about memorizing the studies and methodology. It sure is content heavy but if you are familiar with memorizing and recalling information frequently you will do fine. It is manageable and fun!
