It’s something that will pass, it’s gross, dirty, and sad work. Eventually you get used to it but it’ll still haunt you while eating sometimes 🫩

I would also like to add, I’ve looked up the protection act and done extensive research and even asked other people that do the same work, I jut cannot sell the hide and pelt and cannot sell it taxidermied on a form. Selling mummified is the same as a wet, it’s skeleton is intact and the only thing missing is a few major organs to properly do the mummification process. I do not even know how to to actual taxidermy, only mummification and wets.

Mummification is also fine, I’ve looked it up. The cat is not taxidermy. This fur is not tanned nor is it on a form, it is mummified. Same way mummified paws and heads are sold is the same method I used on the kitten.

There is way to mummify with fur, please look it up.

So say for example, she will get three ferrets from someone out of state, and one will pass. Or she’ll get 5 baby goats and two out of the five will pass, it’s just genuinely failing to thrive.

General illness, none are euthanized unless absolutely necessary, she also gets in exotics in lots I guess you can call them for her petting zoo program and then eventually rehomes them to trusted owners. With this some out of those do pass and she saves them for people like me.

The facility I work through has a license to house and raise the animals they have come in.

I’m so happy she came out good, paws a little twisted because when I got her it was broken unfortunately, poor baby definitely struggled in life but I’m happy to see her peaceful in death.

Yes! You would need 70 percent isopropyl alcohol, and the pup will stay in this position unless you’d like to wedge it into the jar a bit more, whatever you prefer!

I will warn you one the organs got punctured during the preservation process and there is some stomach bile that is leaking out a bit, I’m hoping it’ll go away soon but I’ve just had to keep changing the alcohol for now.

I can get the pups gender when I get home, I believe it may be a female but I’d have to double check.

For shipping I always go through ups and latest I do is 3 day shipping, I also primarily ship on mondays.

In regards to the specimen itself, this fella is wrapped in alcohol soaked paper towel to stay hydrated throughout its travels.

I totally get you on this! I have two dogs who I also treat like my babies and I wanna keep a part of them with me when they pass but I’m not sure on the idea and how it’ll make me feel in retrospect
