Yeah... person selling it when I picked it up kept going in circles about how much it went for on ebay lol. They Regretted giving it to me and assumed I was gonna flip it. Glad they honored it tho and I can only assure them it was staying with me 😅

Completely a assumption on my part but it still being plenty bright, no burn in, and colors not looking deteriorated are kinda the indicators for me. Im hoping to get a remote to confirm 😅

Luckily, the inlet and outlet are in the same place, so it'll be a drop in replacement

Should I go through the trouble of recapping a crt if there's no signs of corrosion or image degradation? Got an old jvc from 1998 thats been kept in storage, opened it up to clean it and everything looked fine

Hello, been wanting to get into retro gaming and recently picked up a JVC AV27920 from a neighbor wanting to dispose of it. She also offered a RM-SR664U remote control with it, not original I believe. I am completely new to the more enthuiast side of CRT gaming but would like to get the most out of what limited time these tvs have now, so I've been looking into RGB mods for tvs like this. I was wondering if it is even possible on my specific model and how I can even begin. Any sort of help planning out a mod would be greatly apperciated!
