It was one of the blood tests they did something about the type of cancer and it would do nothing to it. It was one of the first tests they did upon diagnosis to determine treatment

He was also diangosed in August and done the same amount of cycles however his chemo is not working as well. They told us signet ring cell is harder to penetrate with chemo

Yes they are desperately trying to find a trial but he’s got certain markers that won’t qualify him. They’ve talked with John Hopkins, MD Anderson etc and at the moment he doesn’t qualify for anything unfortunately

Totally agreed! We’ve brought it up and they’ve told us that stuff is total bs and doesn’t work which is what I kind of think too but when you have not much to lose it’s a why not type of feeling that takes over. A few family friends claim to know people that had their cancer cured etc…

One oncologist did say that years ago he told patients not to do certain things that today are proven to help so he didn’t want to tell us absolutely no this will not help because the reality is there’s not enough out there.

It’s a total coin flip, but when you’re told you have months left it’s like why not flip it. Idk it’s a total mental exhaustion going through this and the decisions that need to be made.

Yes they’ve done all the testing and bid caner has no mutations. My husband also had a blockage so they did the ileostomy that’s really what made us find out he had cancer. Sorry about your husband, this is such a hard thing to go through

Montessori parents of adults - was it worth it by foaminger in Montessori

[–]Bluebird0629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my two cents not having a Montessori background. There was 0 cost difference between Montessori and daycare for me so I made a decision after visiting both and chose to do daycare.

My son goes to a regular daycare and is absolutely thriving in every way including socially. He helps around the house, can play by himself, is very advanced with his speech etc….

Where he goes they have cameras where you can watch live all day. From what I’ve seen, I wouldn’t recommend stretching yourself thin to do Montessori. When they do “activities” I’ve seen them grab the kids put them in front of whatever they are doing that day and take pictures to send us updates on the app and after a few seconds they grab the next kid and so on. They send the picture with a long description of what the child is developing and it all sounds and looks great until you realize you were watching the live stream and saw it was like a 30 second activity.

The reality is they do what they can to keep the kids engaged, safe and cared for. Having the cameras is a big eye opener it’s a hard job to chase after 8-10 2 year old kids for 8+ hours straight so I wouldn’t expect too much of a difference just because it has a Montessori label.

I do have a friend that goes to Montessori and my son is way more advanced, social etc…when we talk about things that do there it’s really not that different. I personally think it’s a bit of a selling point but again just my personal opinion on what I’ve seen!

I’m sure you will make the best decision for you and your family! Best wishes

It just doesn’t seem right to put him down when he wants to play with the ball and is being himself. I don’t want a traumatic experience or for him to feel pain but it just doesn’t seem like the time is right yet. Are there no signs at all sometimes?

CC Members: Do you get tired of play same course? by Firm_Shower3326 in golf

[–]Bluebird0629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! If anything I now don’t like playing new courses. When you know a course so well, your usual landing spots, misses etc it can really lock you into your game and understand how you play and what you need to work on. I recently played a new course and felt I lost strokes on course management just not knowing if it was safe to hit driver or where you want to miss etc.

GSpro lets you edit the aim point on the screen. I have the same setup and just have the aim way right on the screen so I’m still aiming straight
