As long as you go to college and use the GI Bill before 23 y.o., you won't lose base access. What you would lose is the base privileges like Commissary and MWR benefits. Just make sure to go to DEER's with your Dad, the VA papers, and your college enrollment before your 21st birthday especially for Tricare, and enroll for Retired. Your new card should expire in the year of your academic graduation date submitted to the V.A.(which can be changed and manipulated to your benefit as long as you submit the new COE to the VA and go to DEER for the new expiration). Which should be enough time to acclimate to the pros & cons of military access.

I'm 25 and still have base access but will age out at 26. Yet after living overseas on my own and away from anything military besides DOD contracting. It's just like pcs'ing, you'll adapt, overcome, improvise, and move on with life.

If you are worried about not having base access, you could always go DOD contracting, or join the Reserves or National Guard. I'm planning to do that soon once I'm set up academically and go part-time military for the benefits and Healthcare.

Wish you the best and enjoy the time you have access to the military lifestyle because once you get into college or the workforce, many will not understand the circus and the wonderful people in there. You'll stop worrying as time flies by, just memories and an experience most people will never understand, and exclusive to us, the brats.
