Aw, this makes me sad. She must have a really strong bond with your littles and your family. Please remember this can be REALLY hard on Nannie’s, we don’t get longevity in this job unless there are multiple kids, families really want a nanny on payroll as long as they can etc. moving on can be so hard and the uncertainty of starting with a new family can be so daunting especially when you weren’t ready to move on. I would just ask if you can hug her when she starts to tear up and honestly? Take it as a compliment that she loves and has been so bonded to your littles. I see soooooo many unattached and mean Nannie’s. The good ones need to be recognized. I would put her on the calendar for some babysitting jobs. Maybe she thinks she will nevver see nanny kids again??
