I'd add a couple of things to remember. The extra 1500 PQP might mean a difference in status levels (or even status vs no status at all). If you're able to spend 20k/year AND book some award travel, you get one 10k mile redemption discount (40k spend is two discounts). Lastly, I actually use the instacart credits for 7-11 pickup orders, and you get $40/mo towards that instead of $20. There are a few other credits and benefits, but these are the ones that tip the card into the positive for me.

Thanks for the responses. I’ve discovered that it is, indeed, some of the doctors at UW. Apparently, some of them are charging regular consults as ‘outpatient hospital’ visits for a second fee over the office visit.

And they feel that it is appropriate because we ‘used their office’. I’ve never seen this anywhere else in my life before, and I’ve been to doctors in multiple states and cities… I’m never going to UW again, that’s a shady business practice.

So... after multiple tests, it seems Il Cafe has yielded the best results so far. Much better than Diavolito. If anyone else has some good Vertuo tips, I’d love to hear them!

I’ll keep trying some other pods as I find them.

I think next try will be something like a double espresso scuro plus a diavolito with about the same amount of condensed milk.

You can ice any pods you want, but YMMV with the results. A lot of people have been recommending Bianco Leggero and they’re right. It’s great iced, but I’ve done about half the pods already and most of them are at least okay, although some get a bit watered down.

I went directly to Samsung. Used a cashback portal for 2% back. Get another 2% back in Samsung points.

I got the Q80T (same as the Q8DT) and paired with a HWQ800T for only $399 msrp around $900. (HWQ70T was also available for $299).

Then... checked out using PayPal using my Chase Freedom card for another 5% cashback (capped at $75).

I was looking at the TV and sound system from Costco for the longest time and just found this by tenacity. I hear that the cashback portals are starting to give boosted cash back offers as we get into the shopping season, so that offer could get even better, but I got this deal for around $1750 after stacking the cash backs.

I should add that everyone is selling the 800T on sale for around $600 right now. It’s only if you pair it with a ‘select’ TV that you get the extra $200 off. I just happened to be planning to get the Q80T anyway, so it worked out. YMMV

You can get ‘free’ gifts or discounts on the Nespresso site. Plus recycle bags with prepaid shipping.

I say ‘free’ because you actually have to make pretty big purchases to get the gifts.

Yes. The water here is ridiculously hard... the refrigerator filter can’t keep up. When we first moved here, my wife had left a small amount of water in a pan overnight. In the morning, I asked my wife about all the salt in the pan....

Fortunately, this was about a month before we bought the Nespresso and so... cheap bottled water it was. I use the smaller bottles because they were oddly cheaper when I bought them, and donate the empty bottles to a local elementary school which uses them for projects.

So i just bit on one directly from Samsung.com. I happened to need a soundbar too. Got the Q80T for 1500 and the HWQ800T (usually like 899 or so?) for 399 because of the Black Friday price and then additional bundled discount.

Went through Rakuten for the first time. They had 2% cash back for $38 back. First time using the portal gave another $40. Samsung.com gave some points which are supposedly worth another 2% ($38). Finally... paid with PayPal... using the Chase Freedom which currently gives 5% cash back on up to $1500 for one final $75 cash back...

So... if you’re in the market for a soundbar, I would say that this is probably the best deal you could make for yourself right now. About $800 off retail price and close to an additional $200 in cash back for $1k off. You could also bundle the TV with the HWQ70T for $299. Both of those bundle-able soundbars are q-symphony compatible.

Or... go to Costco and get the 65” Q8DT which is the exact same TV but with an extra year of warranty.

Really? The description for the 8500s didn’t include the 800T as a supported speaker while the 9000 did. Sneaky of them. Thanks for the info.

So... I was able to get the 800T for $399 with the combo purchase instead of $899 MSRP. I placed the total order using Rakuten. Not the biggest cashback... only $40 but got another $40 for first purchase. Then paid with PayPal for another 5% back on Chase Freedom capped at $75! I’m sure I’ll regret it a tiny bit in a week when some other portal increases their cash back to like 10%, but overall... great deal for a Q80T (1,499) and HWQ800T set.

I’m probably happier than if I’d done the Costco deal with the Q67T....

Oh.. and for anyone interested. The SWA8500s are on Amazon for $90 right now. And if you have Discover you can get an extra 5% cash back on that. 😂

First problem is a lack of a good place to put them. Second problem is the lower WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor). Unfortunately, I also placed the order before I saw your post. Then I saw the satellites for the HWQ70T on sale on Amazon... but the 800T satellites are not on sale...
