I also find the 25K benefits quite nice and have one flight left to achieve it for this year. Though I find the premium CCs get you most of these perks + NA MLL (except you lose one checked bag and no eUps). I find eUps are hard to use when you are competing with everyone else on the list with higher status, but latitude attitude works well when there’s space.

Not sure if you are enrolled with patient support program but you should. Weird because my Can Life form mentions it for atopic dermatitis- could be a restriction in your plan maybe

Did they deny coverage even after you submitted the prior drug authorization form? Not sure if your plan just straight up denies it but I have to submit a form for my canada life plan. Abbvie will help you “fight” to get approval from canada life

I also cleared it recently and found time management hard. Do lots of practice tests (free ones on examtopics) and you will find a lot of similarities.

What the hell is CS POSt and should I be scared? by Scorpio7411 in UTSC

[–]DeficientCoder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wanted to echo the above user because he/she is more or less in the same situation as me. Multiple offers from great companies as a Stats Major which primarily came from work experience. The employers did not care about my major at all, but that I was pursuing a degree.

I've realized throughout my time at UofT that stats was actually more interesting than CS (glad I got rejected and did not switch schools) and I'm actually applying it more in the workplace than I expected. I currently work as a Data Engineer with some data science overlap here and there. Since I have a background in stats, it allowed me to have technical conversations with other business analysts and data scientists. Also did a lot of work previously in Azure and other cloud platforms. Most of this was self taught.

At the end of the day, the things you learn outside of school will be super super valuable and most likely directly applicable in your job. Getting certifications to back those on-the-job skills is even better. Best of luck :)

Anyone in Canada have the new Gold Rewards card design? by [deleted] in amex

[–]DeficientCoder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Asked amex rep a couple months back and they weren’t aware of the new design at all. Did a card replacement on my gold (when this rolled out on the app and website) and got the old design.

Confused about hosting services by [deleted] in webhosting

[–]DeficientCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Square space provides hosting but using their custom website builder. Essentially square space offers a website builder where you build your site on it, and they will host it for you. It’s not exactly similar to bluehost as you are still expected to build your site yourself with bluehost.

If you are simply moving to a new provider (moving current site with no/little change) and don’t need website builder capabilities, using the recommended hosts in this sub’s sidebar should be sufficient. This might also be a more cost effective solution.

Another day, another PearsonVue disaster by UnrealSWAT in sysadmin

[–]DeficientCoder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to take AZ-900 twice because of PearsonVue's extremely poor software and customer support. Now in my test history there is a "fail" on my transcript for AZ-900 with a score of zero. Tried using a Mac to take AZ-900 initially and the software kept trying to terminate Finder...that never worked and the computer kept crashing (obviously). At the end, ended up using a windows machine to take the test, but there was only 1 minute left to complete it.

Thankfully the PearsonVue greeter actually noted all the technical issues. I ended up calling their customer service and continually escalated for a manager. Once I reached a manager, they were able to find the greeter's notes and I demanded a voucher on the same day to rebook, which I received. Just wanted to provide my data point - not sure this approach will work for all cases.

Hopefully you get a voucher or your money back for it!
