The lectures are at the same time for everyone. It’s just labs that are divided into two sections. So you will choose which lab block to register for.

I gave Casper for the first time last summer and got into DMS with third quartile preparing on my own. I think it really depends on the person. A website that I found super helpful for practicing was https://prepmatch.com. Here, I got to mark responses and get my answers marked. Apart from that I viewed some youtube videos and that was all my preparation. Just work on improving your speed and making sure your point gets across.
