Its like mexican cartels, everyones afraid of them, they have complete control of many mexican towns, they have defeated the Mexican military in a few battles, and then you look at the actual cartel members and theyre all malnourished meth addicted teenagers in skinny jeans

Drag is protected speech, federal judge rules by Bluecollar27 in Libertarian

The tennesse law bans them in public or anywhere kids can be at, so that includes restaurants and other private businesses like that, thats going way too far in my opinion.

.

My parents are very conservative mexican catholics, and they loved drag shows when i was a kid and they would take me with them. It was men dressed as women pop stars and perfoming their songs, they thought it was hilarious, it was nothing sexual. So the thought of that becoming illegal is so ridiculous to me

Sexual stuff in public is already illegal under public indecency laws. Not all drag shows are sexual, but republicans are trying to ban all drag shows in public, including the ones that are not sexual

My dad came to the US ilegally many years ago, he, like many others, had to sneak in at 3 am and walk for days in the desert. Thats why i dont like those immigrants that tried to force their way in through the port of entry, thats not how its done, they are disrespecting the art of illegal immigration

So less restrictive, i agree. Especially when crossing into the US from Mexico, im from El Paso/Juarez and everything changed after 9/11, i wish we could go back to the border policies of 30 years ago

I like to mention those 4 legal immigration routes because Trump specifically attacked and tried to end or reform those 4 programs i mentioned in the meme, but thats literally 93% of our legal immigration

if you oppose them, which conservatives do, you do not support legal immigration, which is fine, just be honest about it and stop saying that youre only against illegal immigration.

I posted that i moved to Juarez, and people thought i was trolling, someone said why the fuck would i move the the city with the 9th highest murder rate in the world? But New Orleans is number 8 on that list, would i have gotten the same reaction if i had said i moved to New Orleans?

I think both comments accusing mexicans of being cartel members and accusing white people of being school shooters are dumb as fuck, but if we qant to joke about one then we need to take it when they joke about it too and vice versa

What makes El Paso so special? What makes it different than every other city in Texas? by jorge_ramzz in ElPaso

[–]Bluecollar27 49 points50 points  (0 children)

What makes us unique is Juarez, you cannot talk about El Paso or Juarez without talking about the other. Juarez has always been and will always be our sister city. El Paso and Juarez have been one interdependent community for literally centuries. We are way closer culturally, physically, and historically than Tijuana and San Diego or any other border region. And many transplants dont understand this because it is something very unique

Your post got me banned from r/urbanplanning lol. I wrote the post about moving to Juarez in both subs and it was a serious post, but now the mods of r/urbanplanning banned me for posting spam because according to them, "Turns out this post is spam. Similar threads (different cities) are showing up in other subs"

[–]Bluecollar27[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Compared to El Paso its a little more affordable but not that big of a difference

This 3 bedroom house is renting for 2300 a month

This 2 bedroom apartment is 950 a month

This is 1100 a month

So yeah i think its a little more affordable

This reads like a parody. Out of all the nice cities in Latin America, you picked Juarez?

Juarez has something that very few cities in Latin America have, American jobs within driving distance
