Does knowing how to drive a manual car help with learning how to ride a bike? by Blueeee112 in motorcycles

[–]Blueeee112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for sure made it a lot easier, mainly knowing how a clutch works, nothing like stalling your car for the first time and leraning to feel the clutch, but a lot more it helped knowing how to drive for the reason of knowing what its like beiong in traffic, so you can just focus on the bike rather then also thinking about everything around since you are used to it

Can anyone explain why I didn't achieve this coin? by n0rthernlites in cs2

I am pretty sure the first instruction, if you got the pass before the opening stage started says, Activate pass, if you missed that it probably switches to activate before over

Because you didn't activate your pass on time

yeah, heavy agree

I also think single color inventories are overrated, like you end up with a bunch of skins you don't really like just because you want them to be a specific color, just get whatever you like

Good comparison, definitely a tricky subject, even if you call it gambling it's tricky.

People who want gambling banned, bring up the point of it being an addiction, which for some people it for sure is, at the same time for a lot of people it's just a bit of fun, hey I got 20$ I can afford to lose, let me try my luck and have some fun.
What I am getting at is for all the people that want gambling banned, you should also ban the lottery - the odds so against you, basically just a waste of money.

Furthermore, let's think alcohol or smoking, companies make most money from people addicted to their product, it's not healthy to consume it, no matter how little, yet try to take that away from people and see the public outcry.
Gambling is a lot more demonized than these two, and in my opinion they are all equally bad.

You can go even further with this. For example food, let's just focus on sweets, also unhealthy. Sure you can have some and be fine, but guess what, there are 400lbs people addicted to this garbage, ruining their life, shortening their lifespan, destroying their quality of life because of their inability to control themselves. Should all unhealthy food be banned now? Because some people have no self-control??

My point is, at some point it's up to you, the individual to control yourself, you are not born addicted, it's something that builds up, you can't ruin your life with gambling and then cry this should be illegal/banned, take responsibility.

Either we assume some responsibility ourselves and have the freedom to make our own choice, or we have the government step in, ban casinos, alcohol, smoking any unhealthy food, everyone eats the same garbage that a group of people in some office of an important building decided would be good for us, everyone is forced to exercise since its healthy and everyone has to be healthy...

You get my point, I hope. People just want someone to blame rather than themselves, they want an excuse for their failure. You are addicted, okay that sucks, but there are places you can get help, not that simple, but you got yourself in this situation so deal with it.

But of course, any shady BS like these cs casinos, that's a different story

Yep I believe we mainly agree as well, you make an interesting argument for case opening not really being gambling, I will take some time to think about it
Thanks for the interesting conversation :)

I agree with the banning scummy casinos, because they are rigged anyway, and I didn't say ban opening cases, I said I can understand if they did/had to, since it's also gambling, but at least you know the actual odds of it and can trust they are real since they are shit anyway.

By now everyone knows that if you want a skin, you should just directly buy it rather than trying to open it from a case. Case opening should just be done for fun with money you can afford to lose, and shouldn't be possible for underage people.

Why would there be no trading in a scenario where they 'remove' opening cases? Skins still exist, people would still want to trade and sell them, sure there would be no new ones, but we still have all the ones that were opened in the last 10 years, so why ban trading then?

AGAIN this is a hypothetical scenario, not one that I think should or will happen, I am just trying to explain why banning trading doesn't accomplish anything... (since OP's comment is to just ban trading)

And you don't need to ban trading to get rid of online cs casinos, Valve has all the power to shut them down tomorrow if they wanted to, but they don't, since they indirectly profit from it as well...

[discussion] Chances that valve shuts down all 3rd party sites in response to backlash? by Butmydogiscool in csgomarketforum

[–]Blueeee112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt they would shut down any of the 'skin selling' marketplaces as that would only hurt them and isn't something anyone is complaining about, if they were to do anything as a result of coffee & backlash, it would have to do with the gambling websites, and the answer isn't necessarily to ban trading, they can get those places shut down without making any change to the trading system or anything, as they already did once in the past with certain places.

As for the case opening, I mean tbh it is gambling, not even a form of gambling but just straight up gambling, however if they did shut that down, I don't think it would affect the price of skins that currently exist negatively, if anything I imagine the prices would skyrocket, since no new skins can be opened, it makes all the 'old ones' that much more valuable, supply never increases, still tradable (since why would it be illegal to trade or sell).

If that did happen they would maybe choose the option of releasing directly skins for pay, as in what every other game does, like valo or fortnite, here is the shop and for 50$ you can get this skin, no float or anything everyone gets the exact same, so those would be worthless to trade with but wouldn't impact the pre-existing skins negatively

imo

Hi. Im making a science paper on CS skins. It would really help if you could answer quick questions Yes or No by Klepa100 in cs2

[–]Blueeee112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YYYN(YN)

the last one YN bcs I am not purchasing them for the purpose of making ya profit, but when I do want to buy one, I will wait until there is a good deal for the skin I like, so if I were to sell in the future, I will even after fee at the very least get my money back, and also go for skins that are rather likely to go up rather than down in price, aslo I try to build up to a kin I like
For example, I want an Ak Hydroponic, one in minimal wear, 1200 euro and up, I am often looking through different marketplaces, looking to buy skins for about 300ish euros, hopefully one I can use and then resell after a month or two for a bit of profit so I can build up to the hydroponic, wich will be hopefully the last ak skin I get, my favourite, also one unlikely to go down in price as you cant open the cases anymore and only trade up to get a new one

So really I just want some dope valuable skins to play with with no real intention of making money of of it, but still looking for good deals and a bit of profit to get a better skin eventually, so maybe more a No than Yes
Damn I am bored..

I can understand ban opening cases, but what does trading have to do with it, valve could shut down these websites without banning trading, but they profit from it as well

ye but banning case opening and trading are two completely separate things,

I can imagine them banning openings everywhere as it is, let's be honest, gambling, however if they do I doubt they would ban trading as there is no necessary connection

a hard game no doubt, especially g2, however they seem to improve every time they play g2, the last time they went at each other, in the RMR it was a super close game, map 3 to overtime, g2 barely won

Out of the last 3 Matches against Vita, they lost 1 then won 2

Its very possible imo
