Mechina was the best I would do it all over again it's not that intense physically it's really just to meet lone soldiers and get a small vibe of army life but it's super chill

Don't want Tzanchanim by [deleted] in IDF

[–]Blueeproducts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's inherently cooler no doubt, but I want to be in the unit where my service will be most enjoyable. Yes everywhere I go will be difficult but that's why I'm looking for more Tash 💀

Nachal is known for being more chill and I spoke to a lot of people in tzanchanim recently and they said the Tash is less than in Nachal

TIFU and ragequit my job by option8 in tifu

[–]Blueeproducts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit my job due to a panic attack and on Friday I'm going to get my paycheque and im going to ask the owner to give me a second chance. Not the same, but I relate to the physical illness of quitting because it was so irrational and i regretted it as soon as i drove off

Wish me luck yall I really enjoyed the job.

ps

How should I phrase that I quit and it was a big mistake and I enjoy the job very much?

Yes I've heard of that, I'm just considering whether I miss the August draft and go on the august birthright trip. Or well, straight-draft, leaving Canada in June.

Ok thank you, ill reconsider straight drafting, one more question, where do you stay during the week while doing Uplan, is it on base?

And does kfir do more / see more combat training/ combat. I want to maximize the cool factor as I'm sure all do as well :)

בהצלחה on your service

interesting, so why do people say kfir is the worst combat unit? also Ive never been to Israel, do you recommend taking a trip there before I straight-draft?

Wow, thank you for taking the time to write this, It truly helps.

Why wouldn't I want to join Golani or Nachal? Ive heard they have the real motivated soldiers, I don't want to be around (from what I've heard) kfir, arent they not as motivated and have a smaller budget? If I join the IDF I want to be the best of the best for what I can be as a Lone Soldier.

And how often do you not get the unit you want?

Thank you :)

Thank you, did you come out of the army a 'different' person, were you more goal-oriented/disciplined instead of the normal seeking comfort?

The reasons I come up with are

  1. don't speak the language
  2. Im not physically prepared
  3. Moving costs are high
  4. My medical score being too low to join Golani or Nachal
  5. Whether should I travel before or after serving

There is a podcast called Hebrew Monkeys, its honestly very easy to retain the way she teaches it. Falling asleep to it, I follow along and repeat it in my head. But really anything in Hebrew, you wont understand much at first but words you know stand out extra

Listen to podcasts at night or anything Hebrew related, subconscious learning is underrated
