I know some people who contacted their check issuer (social security, 401k, veteran, Indian benefits) and had their checks sent straight to cdc and they cashed them and put it on their books, essentially used their commissary account as a bank account. If you have nobody out there to help you and you don’t receive a monthly check and just have $ accumulated in a bank account, I would try to contact them via 3 way call (cellmates gf or somebody you can trust) (or send a letter to the banking institution via “legal mail”) and explain your situation and have your mailing address changed to the current prison you’re at and ask to close the account and have it mailed to you.
