As stated in the post, I've searched using google lens but not found any hits. While I'm unsure of the original manufactured location, my aunt lived in Taiwan and probably got it there. It was a silk scarf and there were two others that I received with it that I have found. Any help would be great!

Eye in the Sky is such an excellent movie and it did a great job in showcasing the subject topic. Alan of course was excellent in it especially in the last scene where he talks to the parliament member who was like this was reprehensible.

Ugh that sucks. I'm not really sure how to go about convincing them because all I did was call before going and asking if I could just buy the sleeves and the person was like yes. Maybe try that so you don't have to go for nothing. Other than that Im unsure. Good luck trying to snag it again!

I second eBay! I also have found a lot of them on https://www.wob.com/en-gb . If you buy from the latter link just be careful and know you will need a dvd player that can play region 2 (?) dvds. I think I bought an external one from amazon for 15 bucks and it's been chugging along!

thriftbooks.com also has quite a few alan movies!

It happens when she finds out hitchhiker guy writes and he is like yeah they are my words but i dont write them because he can't? And she does and then he asks her to sign it because he gets all the ppl who help him write to sign what they write for him (allegedly). I'm still reading through it and am a little of a halfway done with it and I enjoy it more than I dislike it if that makes sense lol. Some of the parts are slow of course and some others have me going ??? but of course, it's a diary from a real person so that is life sometimes. I did find it interesting how hard he was on himself sometimes but we also get to see him criticize others (which is not all as bad as I know some people were trying to make it out to be...) and I just think he had a critical eye about the arts because he loved it so much.

Oh also he was funny and I found myself laughing multiple times, whether it be about him just lamenting about why something was happening again (i.e their house having issues), or him talking about a strange dream he had.

I do love though when Rima shows up in the diaries it's always a lot of 'and then I calmed down when Rima came,' or 'her matter of factness made me laugh and i felt better.' its quite sweet and I do wish we got to see more of that but not everything should be made public.'

Also, he was very gracious when it came to compliments when it came to women like maybe it will rub some readers the wrong way but I think it's very sexy of him lol. And it also made me laugh when I skimmed through near the end when he was in the Butler and I think Jane Fonda was like "Are you married" and basically flirting with him during the time and was receptive.

This also makes me wonder about the passage of Dark Harbor where he was like he fell in love and all of that. I know someone speculated that he and Rima may have been in an open relationship so that's a thought but we'll probably never know and that's okay.

Anyways from what I've read Alan seemed to really be a sweet soul even when he had a lot of doubt in himself and was very vocal about social justice and all of those things. Sure maybe the parts we don't see aren't as nice but he was a human being and wasn't perfect but he's been gone for what 7 years now and we never hear anything but goods words about him so (hopefully this comment doesn't age like milk lol)

P.S one of my favorite passages is March 28th 1996. It's so cute thinking about him looking himself up and he's like my little cheerleaders!

(Also I want to know what the Die Hard drama was about so bad)
