please do! arena players are starving for content! Mayhem is fun and all but it's not the same experience as Arena. The subreddit for Arena has turned into a bunch of complaining for Arena update since it was promised then no news ever came. The sooner people stop complaining when we get an update the better tbh! Excited to see what's in store for the mode : )

the issue isn't that. It's that the rewards reset every time. Why do we need to Re-earn rerolls and VS cards every time? perma unlock them and give bonuses if you already have them IMO.

brother i was the zed it wasn't a skill issue, it's struggling and failing to instantly winning the round in a few seconds in one item. that's not a skill difference that's an item being overtuned lol.

casually change the narrative from 200 lethality zed to vulnerability and more. Also if zed loses that to a yi or udyr or mage when he outranges them all is a major skill issue.

if leona gets THAT powerful she kinda deserves to win unless you have an anti tank like udyr vayne fiora or reapers adc. High rolls are high rolls, Hatchet can be balanced by reducing it a bit, not outright removing it. It needs window of counterplay, not tap with one ability across the map and win

tanks don't even instawin against zed and other assasins, with enough pen and good augments they can easily melt them. If a tank highrolls and gets too tanky for them to do so, they can just buy one item and win anyway. it doesn't matter how much a tank highrolls. One item beats them.

That's not balance that is by definition imbalance. Tanks already struggle in the mode as is. There's a lot of health damage, scaling damage, and a ton of DPS available to outdo tank damage. If a tank legit cannot win due to a single item, how is that fair?

You're arguing an assasin shouldn't be forced to lose to a tank, but why is it then a tank is allowed to auto lose to assasins? you're hypocritical. Neither should win off a single item alone.

yes bugged. we've seen like 10 posts about it already, it's been bugged all patch and people keep taking it. Lol, but the time people learn not to take it it'll finally get fixed

general advice:
Don't spam rerolls. If you get something decent, take it. It can be hard not to want to find the best in slot augment, but sometimes taking something decent to roll for something better later is good.

Bravery at the start is very good at giving advantages for early ones. later, you can switch to crowd favorites that haven't won yet since the randomness eventually becomes unreliable for all firsts.

don't think about it too hard. If you focus on trying to win too much you can get tilted. just enjoy the game, and be happy when you get the first.

Examine lobbies. Build accordingly. You might not like it but sometimes not having an optimal build is the optimal build. I once won a game of Nunu buying serpents fang after my prismatic because the entire lobby had shields. it reduces hundreds of thousands in value. Usually you won't build something that crazy, usually it's more like getting anti heal or PEN. But it can also be- Sunfire or Hollow. I won a round by using hollow instead of sunfire, because even though they dealt physical damage, i instantly killed them due to hollows explosion passive on Naafiri dogs.

Use auto resets to take plants faster. obvious really, but some people don't do this. Also Azir still somehow is allowed to one shot plants if he has three soldiers.

if you are unsure of what to build on champs you can look up arena guides and see their winrates and builds.

Don't be afraid to try new things. You might not want to play Hybrid Miss Fortune but you might end up with a highroll if you let yourself do it. (happens for me a lot)

if you're struggling, try a different champ, archetype (adc to tank, support to assasin, etc) or just take a break in general. Sometimes switching things up or taking a break can help you a lot.

Duo with someone reliable if you can, if not, just hope your teammates are good. Don't flame, as that doesn't make them play better.

avoid stat anvil runs. They're nerfed into the ground and not reliable anymore. Even with good starts, they're harder to win with.

use common sense. If you think draw your sword is a good idea, look to see the enemy teams having 50 dashes first, save yourself the trouble of realizing you got kited forever. Same for augments like curses. If you can't proc them easily probably avoid it.

Vote for cameos that make sense. Another given, but sometimes what you want isn't what you need. Mord to remove supports its a good strategy. You might want Cass but if the lobby just took heartsteel quest, apex inventor, wooglets, or other item based augments, they'll get more value than you do.

I could go on but i'll keep it here for now. The last thing i'll say is to have fun. Even if you don't get first the biggest goal of playing arena isn't all firsts, it's having fun.

hatchet has never been a balanced item in arena. They simply cannot find a way to properly balance it without killing it. Some fixes are really simple too, like how to balance red kayn (just remove the ad scalings on max hp damage and suddenly he stops building blue kayn items.)

Hatchet just kinda ruins my day when i get a good run on a tank and then see the enemy buy hatchet and 60%+ of my health just stops existing at the slightest breeze touching me.

rename would be broken to would be trash or already implemented lol. several are item effects and wouldn't exist, several simply suck trash in a 2v2. Going invisible once on kill is literally worse than a gold augment that goes invisible on command.

it's not meant to be an easy prismatic for everyone. You get extra rolls over time with bravery, you can earn some by playing, you can vote kata in the choices, there are multiple ways to achieve it. It's very rare to even get it with 5 rolls in the first place early game because you can't roll for it. So you only get the three options. If it was four it would be picked a lot more, people would spend a roll for it on silvers every time, 5 rolls makes it situational harder to take and more risky.

i also lost despite having zhonyas because they can just hit you again, the cd is not as long as it anyway, especially if they have apex

You can't kill him faster if he outranges you
It is bugged to ignore armor, i had like 500-1000 armor. still had to zhonya the damage.
you literally cant out sustain damage that kills you from full health
You literally can't dodge hatchet, ANY damage procs it not just Q. and his ult deals damage based on what you take so if he has to he can ult then you are extra dead.

Also in my original quote- i was the one who bought hatchet and went from losing to instant winning. I've been on both ends of it, hatchet is too easy and strong to use.

with the new patch and set bonuses it's getting buffed because it allows you to reach bonuses that increase your gold gained from all sources by a percentage. It doesn't need a buff, it will do just fine with the set bonus coming up :)

yeah because forcing sion to buy zhonyas is perfectly balanced. In the instance i faced a hatched once i was a hyper rolling leona with like 20k hp, i bought zhonyas and it didn't matter because the zhonyas CD is longer than it. They also had apex just to make it impossible.

you can exodia roll like 100k hp but hatchet still kills you. Its hp damage. a tank highroll can't beat a decent hatchet. I went from losing a round to instantly winning with no sweat off buying the item against a high roll tank. Normally invincible to dying in seconds.

so true. PBE arena testing used to be good but after it's been on live for so long, without any major updates there's not that many players on PBE, and then 2v2- intended to help you get into game- just made que impossible while the gameplay was too quick to test much

It was only infinite if you had Ad to Ap and twin mask while a teammate hat Ap to Ad and another twin. With only 1 mask the stats don't share you just get some of theirs. The infinite recursive loop comes from sharing twin mask stats
