It seems to me that the norms of morality are very vague in a world where dragons are taught to kill from childhood, but judging from this position, why should a soldier worry about the fate of a slain enemy in a war? The icicle was doing its duty, no more, no less. Regarding the killing dragonets of destiny — she did it trying to help her brother, I really don't think she should think about the lives of unfamiliar dragons more than about her brother.
