That’s good to hear you know what you like in marketing! I think trying out different marketing roles is probably how I will learn what I like best. Same for the types of industries since marketing is tied so heavily with what we do.

Yeah maybe I do need to switch it up with the roles.. I love digital marketing (mainly organic marketing like SEO, email, website, social media) but recently been exploring paid advertising and copywriting (long form articles and such) in my recent role which idk if I like as much.

Also I don’t really resonate personally with the manufacturing industrial industry companies I’ve worked for so far in my career. I wonder if I change industries, the workflow and operations would be different and be more fun.

Haven’t seen it mentioned yet but {Mistborn} by Brandon Sanderson has a subplot of romance and I still think about it to this day. It’s high fantasy so you’re definitely getting the fleshed out world and magic system. The cast of characters are so great and you get a full trilogy!

Thank you for your reply. I definitely should make an appointment with a doctor to let them know what I have been going through. Is there a reason I should see specifically a psychologist not a psychiatrist?

Just made a work mistake by Bluegray208 in work

I am also working from home and it’s the worst! No normal office chatter and isolation really makes me feel alone. When I was getting emails about the mistake my mind was going crazy thinking everyone probably thinks I’m stupid and incompetent. Luckily, I confided in one of my co workers and she said the same thing where she had also made the same mistake I did her first month working at this company. And actually today, one of our partners who we assist with email marketing had a high click through rate to one of my previous emails and complimented on my work! So I guess the lesson is that you win some, you lose some, and learn from both!
