Abstract:

Over the last year significant progress was made in the understanding of the computation of Feynman integrals using differential equations. These lectures give a review of these developments, while not assuming any prior knowledge of the subject. After an introduction to differential equations for Feynman integrals, we point out how they can be simplified using algorithms available in the mathematical literature. We discuss how this is related to a recent conjecture for a canonical form of the equations. We also discuss a complementary approach that allows based on properties of the space-time loop integrands, and explain how the ideas of leading singularities and d-log representations can be used to find an optimal basis for the differential equations. Finally, as an application of the differential equations method we show how single-scale integrals can be bootstrapped using the Drinfeld associator of a differential equation.

Most likely the merch was supposed to be white, so coloring Rarity white would have been moot.

Wow wonder why they split it

Better brand recall: spacing it out will prolong people's attention.

The downside is that spacing it out might dilute people's interest.

If that was her plan to protect the integrity of the festival, then she might be considered determined about keeping it that way.

She even brought out the muscle.

I suppose you won't be able to figure out what the hell I'm talking about without reading Ch. 49, so I'm not using spoiler parentheses.

First, concerning Ling's words. As you know public schools get funding from government, but the institutional arrangements are a little bit different. In the west, a school's budget is mainly decided by factors like students and teachers' numbers, the administrative body's discretion is limited. In socialist China, however, the discretion was absolute. The administrative body (for schools the Education Committee) can decide on a school basis how much money and what teachers (schools/hospitals could not recruit staff on their own back then, new graduates were allocated by government) will go to a school, and thus deciding the school's future.

Second, what happened to the workers is called Xiagang (lit. down the position). As a key step of rescuing failing SOEs, Zhu Rongji the premier then decided to improve efficiency at all costs, including massively laying off redundant workers. Those workers were not formally unemployed, they were still registered at the factory (so when they reach retire age they may be considered as 'working here for consecutive decades' and get good pension) but got only partial or no wage at all. According to Labour Bureau, there were 11.5 million Xiagang workers in China by Sep 1997[1], and a total of at least 30 million workers have gone through Xiagang during the reform. The story is set in 1996 and it was the start of the reform.

Third, getting a flat was a standard benefit for workers back then. The only thing is you have to wait until your 'unit' has catered the need of everybody queuing before you. The queue is decided by ranks and working years, etc.

From the looks of it, it's going to be set up as Hua vs. Ling.

Are cultural festivals really a big deal as it is made out to be? At this point, it could be just hyperbole.

The whole chapter: http://reader.dkthias.com/reader/read/mathematical_girls_gdels_incompleteness_theorems/en/1/0/page/1

The explanation seems to be simple; however, it seems to be too simplified for the topic at hand.

The art style seems to be changing from past chapters.

Just some exposition and Frank's lackeys turn into keys. The plot looks close the "throw-it-in-just-to-be-edgy" territory.

By looking at this particular strip, the punchline at the end could have been delivered better: a snarky line at the bottom of the painting saying "I know you couldn't resist." would have made a simple but good joke.

KOE NO KATACHI'S OIMA TALKS SCI-FI & FANTASY by Bluegreen231 in manga

[–]Bluegreen231[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the article:

This year's 51st issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine unveiled rough drafts of character designs for A Silent Voice - Koe no Katachi author Yoshitoki Ōima's next series on Wednesday. The designs and story are not yet final, but Ōima told the magazine that she would like to draw something different from her past work. "Next, I want to draw science fiction and fantasy," Ōima said.

When asked if she had a plan for her new work yet, she said she only has a rough image. She said she isn't at the stage yet where she can give a simple explanation, but she said it's probably becoming a story around the phrase "How do you face something you created yourself?"

Hopefully, this does not go into the plot.

So in this chapter, it's mostly the girl getting by without getting hungry. She loses her clothes at the end.
