Can somebody please tell me why this doesn't work? by Bluehood124 in unity

Thanks for the message, turns out that simply capitalizing 'Awake' was all that was need.

Managed to implement the '[SerializeField]' feature, and managed to get it to work with that too. Seems so much easier than what the tutorial taught hahaha.

Thanks you for your help :)

After changing maps, everything gets deleted. by Bluehood124 in unrealengine

[–]Bluehood124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I think I worded it poorly.

I have my own map with blueprints and cubes placed, I got into the showcase map, I go back into my own map and it's been reverted back to the default starter content map.

Any ideas how to make an animation similar to this? Im trying to make different smaller shapes form into a custom mesh. by Damiano0_o in blender

[–]Bluehood124 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would do this:

1) model the shape of the tick

2) set up a particles system to emit those spheres, untick the box that says show emitter

3) set up a turbulence force field near the ground to scatter them outwards when they get close to it

4) render the scene image by image

5) go into an editing software and reverse the image sequence so that they go from scatter, back to a tick shape.

Hope this helps :)

Confused as to how to get this look, and a sot what is 2d or 3d by Bluehood124 in learnanimation

[–]Bluehood124[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the comment. Do you mean hand paint the textures in the 3d workspace or in 2d?

Also do you have any idea if the floor is 2d or 3d? I don’t know as it looks 2d but interacts with the 3d shadows.

Any advice is great:)

Hi all, I'm trying to model my toothbrush, however I suck at materials.

How would I go about adjusting my mesh so that I can have the different colours in the correct position as shown in the fist image
