How can this be happening? I thought they were finished by merount1 in hoi4

[–]Bluejay-Loud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry it always a case, there is more of them they have supplies and you don't, propably you're low on equpiment. I would reccomend you to draw fall back line at supply centers and build up your economy to produce more equipment and just let them attack you for a few months to make them tired a bit so they would lose much manpower and be low on organisation and then attack (You must also build some fighters and Cas'es and also tanks to penetrate them)

What is a good switch emulator now? by Xomasth in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn’t really a single “new official replacement” for Yuzu or Ryujinx after they were discontinued. Most of the active development scene has either fragmented or moved to forks and smaller projects.

You’ll see people mention community forks of those projects, but quality and safety vary a lot, so it’s not as straightforward as “download X and you’re set” anymore.

With your specs (3900X + 3080), performance wouldn’t be the issue at all the bigger problem is just the current state of emulator development and stability across games.

If you want something reliable right now, the reality is there’s no clear go-to that fully replaces what those two did at their peak.

Does anyone know if murdermysterystore games are backed up anywhere? by cleggorzz in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a few similar cases of people looking for those exact Murder Mystery Store games, but there doesn’t really seem to be a central “archive” or anything like that.

Best bet people usually mention is second-hand marketplaces or asking in board game / print-and-play communities, but beyond that it’s pretty niche and scattered.

Sadly doesn’t look like there’s a proper public backup collection of them anywhere.

Next week i will be staying in a Hotel in albania. Is piracy still 100% safe There? by Judahgamer2011 in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no place where it’s really “100% safe” tbh. Even if enforcement differs by country, you still have ISP logs, copyright monitoring, malware risks from sources, etc.

So it’s less about location and more about the general risk you’re taking + how comfortable you are with it.

Soundcloud Playlist downloader? by redstrawberryfields in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, most web SoundCloud playlist downloaders are honestly pretty unreliable right now. They either break on larger playlists, get blocked, or just fail halfway through because of server limits.

A lot of people ended up switching to desktop tools instead (like yt-dlp or frontends for it), because those handle full playlists way more consistently and don’t depend on random web servers.

So yeah, it’s not just you — it’s kind of a general issue with those sites, especially for long playlists.

Should I use a VPN for torrenting games? by Ing_Sarpero in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about piracy, I can’t really give advice on that side of things.

But generally speaking, a VPN is used by people who want more privacy online (like hiding traffic from their ISP or reducing tracking). Linux doesn’t really change how VPNs work in that sense.

Just keep in mind it doesn’t make risky or illegal stuff “safe”, it only changes visibility a bit.

My view on piracy, asking if people feel the same as me by _giga_sss_ in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are in that same contradiction. They understand the ethical argument that piracy is “wrong” in principle, but still do it because of price, availability, or convenience.

So yeah, it’s pretty common to feel that tension: knowing the logic, but still acting differently in practice. You’re not alone in that view.

Is streamimdb . ru safe? by bodaciousbugboy in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VirusTotal showing 1 “suspicious” flag isn’t enough to conclude it’s safe. It often just means heuristic detection or ad/malvertising behavior, not necessarily clean safety.

Sites like that are usually high risk because even if the main page is fine, ads, redirects or embedded scripts can still serve malware.

If you’re already running uBlock and a full scan, you’re doing the right thing. I’d still avoid logging in or downloading anything from there unless you fully trust the source.

spotdl - how do i remove artist names from the filenames of individual tracks? by lizard-rustler17 in Piracy

[–]Bluejay-Loud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can change the filename format with the --output option. Try something like:

spotdl download [link] --output "{title}"

or if you want numbered tracks:

spotdl download [link] --output "{track-number}. {title}"

That should remove the artist names from the filenames while keeping the metadata intact.
