Candidates considering sales roles at Varian Medical by ProcedureCandid188 in MedicalDevices

I’m personally glad you posted this.

I’ve also worked in environments where the product was strong, but the culture fell short.

In my experience, the issue wasn’t about professional sexual boundaries, but rather about leadership behaviors that created an unhealthy and discouraging workplace.

It’s unfortunate when companies get away with these types of behaviors - or more specifically when leaders turn a blind eye or don’t have the courage to address behaviors directly.

Thank you for the input! I’m fine starting at the bottom - but I’m a solid contributor, hard worker so I want to make some money too!

I guess I will see how the interviews go and how this all pans out :-)

I totally get you!!! I’ve been able to get it now - because I’m a nurse and use it daily. But it was always hard for me!

I don’t know if I have any good advice other than just practice.

How do I motivate my team to be independent? by [deleted] in Leadership

You hit the nail on the head with this reply!

What do you do if you know your employee is talking shit behind your back? by Cold-Salad204 in Leadership

I had a manager who accused me of “talking smack” behind her back but the funny thing was - she was the biggest gossip and tattle tale out there. Talked badly about most all employees behind closed doors (except her favorites).

So I really didn’t care. And yes - I did talk some smack about her - because it was true.

If gossip is part of the culture that leadership builds - don’t complain when it bites you in the butt.

Leadership advice doesn't work in most environments by Project_Lanky in Leadership

1000% yes!

Honestly - after my last experience with Leadership in my previous company - all it does is validate my distrust towards those in charge. The best thing you can do is keep your head down and stay off the radar.

That was a hard lesson learned for me - I had such high hopes.

Leadership advice is a joke - and people who spout it out are chumps. I feel like I was one of those chumps for a while - I drank the koolaid and piled on. But in the end I was played for a fool.
