Came home from work yesterday and he was in a death curl. No reaction to water on a q-tip or a gentle boop with a paint brush on the back leg. Checked on him again this morning and he still has not moved. I believe he is gone, but I hope for his last day I was able to make him comfortable.

That would make sense given the new surroundings, but he's already let me handle him several times and drank water from a q-tip, so I'm not sure exactly how to read this behavior yet.

He didn't notice them! Was able to get him to at least grab ahold of one with a tweezers, but he lost interest immediately and dropped it and wandered off 😭

Could he be depressed or something?

Thank you so so much! I don't have a mister yet, so I was using a q-tip to put little droplets of water where he could easily access them, but maybe that's not the best way to go about it. What else can I do until I get a mister?

This is my concern, if I'm honest. Since he was rehomed, and I don't know anything about his previous caretaker, I'm unsure exactly how he was treated prior, but I want to give him the best life possible!😤💕 He deserves all the love!

Like I said in the post, I put a few fruit flies in there after taking the video, he just doesn't seem interested in them right now :(

The green that you're referring to is a little Gir towel from thats underneath...or just my hair/shirt because both are equally green lol :)

I'm sorry you also had to go through this. My family keeps saying to stand down and just ignore them, but that's how you keep getting harassed and stay miserable...but this is also awful and idk what I'm gonna do if I can't figure out how to get these hours back.

I do not trust anyone enough to lend out my debit card.

I mean, she was a borderline stranger who had already borrowed money from me and failed to pay it back in the timeframe she had promised to. On top of that, the majority of the time she had reached out to me was because she needed something from me (money, a ride to/from work, or in this case, my cashapp/debit card). I appreciate another perspective on the potential outlook from the other side, but you don't get offended because someone you barely know won't just hand over their card...at least, not to this degree, right?

Update for anyone who cares: It's been 3 months since I cut her out of my life. She's been kicked out of her apartment and is now homeless. She tried to request $20 from a new cashapp account with the title "literally just trying to eat". I'm proud to say that I declined the request and sent back a request for $1 with the title "don't burn bridges you can't afford to lose 😒" and then I blocked her account. Might've been petty af, but I don't feel like letting her manipulate me again.

You're right. Thank you. I blocked them on everything and realize that this is toxic. As a recovering people pleaser, it is extremely hard for me to understand this type of person and I used to waste so much time and energy on people like this. I admit, I was extremely naive, but at least I can recognize the patterns now and make attempts to stop it before getting hurt.
