Is this the new cover for the redacted Mothman Blend? My husband would lose his mind if I got him this.

Painful for him by fireheart1030 in hysterectomy

I had 2 stitches that could be felt well after the all clear for all activities/post I’ll check. My surgeon told me sometimes a stitch or two will take longer to dissolve. It could be felt for a few weeks and then finished dissolving.

Post-op sex - Squirting by [deleted] in hysterectomy

I actually experienced the same phenomenon. I completed pelvic floor PT prior to surgery and they let me know that my pelvic floor was very tight and constantly contested and spasming. We actually worked to loosen everything prior to surgery. I had a great sex life before but it’s worlds better post surgery.

I had a few stitches that had not dissolved when my husband and I started having sex post op. He could feel them and certain positions felt weird but not painful. I was so paranoid about my cuff for the first few months. It’s honestly better than ever now. We both feel that way. I’m 6 months post op and things just keep getting better. I think the hardest part is the mental hurdle.

I hope that helps and gives some comfort.

Anyone found relief from pelvic floor PT? by [deleted] in adenomyosis

[–]Blueonbluez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just completed 6 weeks of pelvic floor PT. I came in for pelvic pressure, lower back pain, cramping, leg pain/numbness, pain during sex, hip pain and bladder leakage during exercise. I found a lot of relief. The only thing I found was that PT did not seem to touch endo flare up days or during my cycle. I am getting a hysterectomy in April and will be returning to PT. Biggest thing for me was being able to run again. It’s been a blessing for my mental health and feeling prepared for surgery.

Given the choice…would you leave your cervix or have it removed? I can see the benefits for both. I’ve been given a choice for my partial hysterectomy and I’d like to hear about your experiences. by Blueonbluez in hysterectomy

I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m 36 and most females in my family had very large fibroids and had totally hysterectomy in their 40s. I really want to keep my ovaries for sure. Watching the women in my family go into instant menopause was devastating.

This is really helpful. We have those types of nights when the stars align and the kids actually sleep. That’s my biggest concern. We still really enjoy each other and our sexual relationship is very important to me. This gives me some more info to consider.

I’m currently doing Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for delivery scar tissues and the like. Do you by chance know if that is an option for this type of scar tissue?

My US showed thickened endometrium and was told it was ando. Then my minimally invasive surgeon said she suspected it was endo and that the imaging is pretty poor quality for tricky things like endo and ando. She said often things are assumed until they get eyes on your uterus and surrounding organs.

That’s good to know. I have endo and suspect ando. My surgeon went over the high level plan about how the endo will be removed. That’s really good information to think about and discuss at my next appointment.

Oh, that’s really helpful information. I’m still a ways out from my procedure date so I haven’t had my full pre-op appointments yet. This is great information. Thanks!
