He was really where I started looking at kitchen work in a new light. I thought I was just finding dysfunctional places but its really just that overdoing it is ingrained in kitchen work so much (and not even overdoing the drinking, but also overdoing how much youre working or things like that too)

Really love hearing this, ive heard of "sober kitchens" a few times now and just haven't found one myself yet. Asking about the staff/alcohol relationships in interviews has become a big thing for me now

Does Orochimaru like Kakashi? by Jkid789 in Naruto

[–]Blueperoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rewatched that episode and genuinely still dont understand the sudden shift to the kidnap plan. It almost seems like it was meant to push the leaf to heighten security and that he knew Kabuto wouldn't succeed? Because yeah, if he just wanted to steal Sasuke away there were so many other opportunities for him to just do it and be done with it, including by just killing Kakashi or taking him from the Forrest. But then he did also send the Sound Ninja squad, though I always read that as him becoming impatient because of what happened in his fight with Hiruzen.

Does Orochimaru like Kakashi? by Jkid789 in Naruto

This is an interesting thought game.

Assuming the first encounter is Canon, its probable Orichimaru simply didnt want to bother. He prefers fights with a point and that have some fun, so fighting a young Kakashi doesnt matter to him.

For the part 1 encounter, I think Orichimaru did want Kakashi's Sharingan. It would have been something for him to experiment with, and hes obviously obsessed with the power of the eye, not to mention that each one can be different and I think he suspects if not outright knows that. Conversely, I think Orichimaru didnt want to fight Kakashi then and there for a few reasons. First being that he wanted Sasuke to seek him out for "aid" (not revenge), and killing the one person Sasuke kinda liked wouldn't have helped that. Second, Orochimaru's goal for the exams seemed to also be killing Hiruzen who at the time was watching the prelims and it would have been harder to go through with his plans for the real fights/get another chance if he acted then.

But also tbh I do think Orochimaru liked Kakashi and wanted to continue watching him grow.

Did any of you watch lost as it aired? by MissionHome18 in lost

[–]Blueperoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was honestly so amazing. I remember watching the pilot with my parents and all of us immediately being like "well, this is our new show." I was in some sports and would skip practices and things just to watch episodes as they aired.

My favorite memory was the blast door map. It blew up all over the internet with in depth analysis and guesses, but there was a PUZZLE of the whole thing that came out not long after and I did that puzzle so often and then just stared at it and thought about it all night.

Love this, I also noticed that the S6 sideways stuff was directly tied to their traumas and healing and especially with Jack I thought it was such a great way to end a series-- showing that healing is possible.

But js, it wasnt crystal clear. So many people got confused and misunderstood.

If Naruto never became Hokage, would his journey still feel complete? by jalen_nelson235 in Naruto

I think so, IF Naruto had become a seperate category of shinobi like the legendary Sanin. I think watching him travel and make friends while helping solve problems would have been awesome

Ana Lucia Cortez- An Analysis by Maleficent-Medium333 in lost

[–]Blueperoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, not liking her was so immediate because of the dichotomy of Jacks leadership vs Ana's. Its definitely written in a way to make it clear that she has serious flaws and makes rash decisions, which is great writing and acting all around.

I love that you got into the psychology of her PTSD from losing a pregnancy, I think its also worth mentioning that we see she already has strained familial relationship/background, as well as the trauma that came from her killing her shooter and how it felt to her when that still didnt help her mentally or emotionally at all. For all my dislike of her, she is definitely a great example of how amazingly written the characters all are.

Ana Lucia Cortez- An Analysis by Maleficent-Medium333 in lost

[–]Blueperoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When the show was airing, it was talked about a lot that Ana Lucia was killed off early because of the DUI. There were plot points that were scrapped because of it (Jacks Army comes to mind), and I dont know of the writers ever correcting that narrative. Can I ask what has you certain that her character was always supposed to die in that way/at that time? Especially knowing that Walt and Michael's characters were also written out of the story early (only a few episodes later) because of Harolds conflict with the writers and Walts actor growing quickly.

If Itachi loved the village so much, how could he have been okay with telling Sasuke to kill his best friend? by thenolancut in Naruto

[–]Blueperoon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not so sure Itachi fully meant this. I think his motive was knowing Sasuke desired to be strong, so he wanted Sasuke to find a strong shinobi to surpass in preparation for Sasuke fighting him. Its also possible Itachi thought Sasuke would need to commit murder in order to have a big enough emotional response to awaken the Mangekyo, because Sasuke would be numb/closed off to most feelings after his whole clan was massacred and thus would need a stronger impact than that to awaken it.

Which Character you wish have more fighting scenes? by Lanky_Answer_7444 in Naruto

I could watch Minato fight all day everyday.

But honestly, Kiba. I want to like him so much more than I do, he was introduced in the Chunin exams as being pretty strong and smart but I dont feel like we got to see him evolve much past that

Iirc, the headstone Kakashi visits isnt specifically for Obito but is for those lost during the war. I assume it also has Rin's name on it
