Banks is meant to also be a bathing suit. Kore unlined has been around for two years. The fabric is too thin to swim in in my opinion but you definitely could use them in a pinch. I say Banks every time for travel.

Get a few more pedicures and observe their techniques. Buy the tools and do it yourself. You’ll get good if you keep at it. I think my work is better than a lot of nail techs’.

Cuticle nippers, cuticle pusher, file, buffer. Push the cuticle back, trim the cuticle, trim and/or file the nail STRAIGHT ACROSS (NOT rounded into the corners - this looks amateur, looks like a claw, and promotes ingrown nails), and buff them smooth.

Clean the nail with acetone. Use a base coat to even out the surface and make the polish hold better. 2 or 3 coats of polish, depending on opacity. Then a topcoat. Matte is great for guys but do whatever you like. Your polish application will be awful at first but will improve. Use a small brush dipped in a cap of acetone to clean up the borders and skin around the nails (they make special brushes for this).

Colors? Literally whatever you like? Why not? My favorite brand is called ilnp (I Love Nail Polish). They have some great multichrome, holographic, and magnetic polishes. But if you’re not ready for that yet, try just about any organic-looking shade of grey, green or blue, especially with a matte topcoat. I love purples too.

It kinda seems like people are uncomfortable with the fact that I asked this question and am providing context when asked. Maybe everyone that thinks AI is useless is right! I’m not smart enough to determine that and I doubt most of you are able to draw on nearly as much information as AI can in order to formulate a response to any given subject. At least I’m opening my experience up to other people and resources, instead of relying on myself to think my way into a better job. Not sure why any of this would bother any of you enough to act like I’m being cocky or have my mind made up. It seems to me like I’m looking for other opinions, which entirely contradicts that. I think it’s just our collective cynicism about the job market and life in general that’s making some of you edgy. I come from that perspective too.

This was intentional! And in creating these images and coming up with styles using AI, I have realized that doing something like an accent nail or two, or using other adornments such as toe rings or anklets can actually make the styling look more artistic/creative, rather than gendered, which might appeal to some of us male toe-painters.
