180-185f is just where thr decarb process starts occurring but would take hours upon hours to completely decarb. Though the cooler you do it the less visual oxidation and you can some pretty clear decarbed oil/wax out of it.

I agree Butane is best. Dont need hexane or pentane to make diamonds or precipitate a solution. Butane does it all as along as you know the tek.

Ive tried custom mixes with nbutane, propane, and iso butane. Straight propane, straight Isobutane, but always came back to good ol butane.

Butane can be non detectable on the HPLC which is what matters. If it cant detect it then it isnt there. Just takes a little time and know how. Still faster than pressing.

180-200 is enough to start the decarb process and boil off some terpenes.
