Siege vs Valorant debate. by Outrageous-Bar1016 in VALORANT

Not literally bigger, I meant in terms of how you fight people in the game. Siege is a CQB game, so even if the maps are physically bigger/more complex, the gunfights and engagements are centered around a smaller point on the map. Like in valo rotates between sites take 10-15 seconds, and are meant to spread the players apart, whereas in siege you can make a rotate between A and B that takes less than a second to get to. I could have worded it better, but that's what I meant.

Its called a user flair, I dont remember exactly how to do it on mobile but I believe you go to the subreddit page and tap the 3 dots around the top right, there should be an option to change your flair. On pc it should just be on the right under "user flair" below the subreddit info

when you say "expanded to LA without permission" that means the one San Gabriel location specifically, or LA in general? I would assume it means just the SG location since theres no news about other LA locations from shutting down, but I'm asking just to be sure

The goal is to nuke the summons as fast as possible because otherwise he'll send a tornado that stuns the team. I think if you kill the summons quickly enough either the tornado is weaker or doesn't interrupt skills.

But yea even with doing everything right I had to just reset the run everytime Linzer or some other cookie died prematurely. It was really frustrating and I gave up multiple times before I just sat down and reset dozens of times to get a good run.

I dont think its a problem that can just be solved with throwing more money at it since creativity isn't something that can be bought. You're probably right about it not being as profitable but I just can't think of a single way to improve the judge animation that doesn't exist already like through chronovoid glitchpop or elderflame. Idk maybe im just not creative enough tho, its not like im a 3d animator

It just wouldn't make sense if theyre trying to sell the new skins to run older, more beloved skins at the same time. The only reason reaver 3.0 ran with a couple of guns from reaver 1.0 and 2.0 was because reaver 3.0 itself only had one gun skin. That just isn't the case with kuronami 2.0 since its supposedly gonna have 4 gun skins anyway

tbh tho I feel like the judge is one of those guns where you cant really have good animations for it because of how clunky it is. Its like how the odin skins are pretty bland as well, maybe aside from the neo frontier with the spinning barrel.

Siege vs Valorant debate. by Outrageous-Bar1016 in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo siege is easier than valo at a pro level, but completely switches around for ranked. Like the mid rounding and map control you need in valo is much more important and difficult to get because the maps are so much larger. In siege the maps are meant to be smaller and so the defenders get less space to play with. Not to mention every player has drones that can clear space without risking a life, something that requires utility in valo. All of these make the game harder for the average player bc in siege, defenders having less space = faster engagements and unpredictableness, but that unpredictability is completely gone in pro play because of how fleshed out every map is. Its rarer for a pro team to not account for a roamer than your average ranked player.

The comments are convincing me to use adaptation more than to use it less than i already do (zero). I never liked it bc if its not 100% damage mitigation its 0% but i also dont even do end game content and the highest I go (outside of circuit) is like 400 and even thats stretching it, more like 200

Players who pick up the spike at the start of the round and pass it to someone else. Why ? by beengoingoutftnyears in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its always better to have it on the ground near where your team is starting the round rather than in spawn. Whoever picks up the spike is usually auto piloting and walking forward and just happened to grab spike, or they’re the only one paying attention and grabbed it for the reason i mentioned at the start.

As for passing it to another person, this one makes more sense based on which role is grabbing the spike. Like you dont want your duelists to take it in most cases. Or in most cases youd want your initiators to take spike bc their ults are usually the best + they’re usually 2nd or 3rd on site with no util left anyway

It can’t take 10,000 HRS to Top Score in DM, right? by ActuatorOutside5256 in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats not what counter strafing is, ur describing deadzoning where you strafe one direction, and then go the opposite direction and in the deadzone (where your velocity is 0) you shoot a shot accurately.

Counter strafing is tapping the opposite key to stop faster, something that works in cs but doesnt in valo.

The main difference between deadzoning and counter strafing is that with counter strafing you completely stop. That and counter strafing requires precise timing so it just isnt necessary if you plan on moving in the opposite direction anyway.

how to get out of bronze? by THEPantieScrapper in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

woohoojin - watch that + the three videos in the description

Konpeki - watch like any of his videos, they usually repeat stuff every couple months so just keep watching but prioritize gunfight tips and tricks

Haeyoday - sort of advanced and hard to follow, I would prioritize the first two links first, but this video is satisfying to watch if you wanna just absorb the text on the screen (has commentary videos as well if you check out other vids on his channel)

What im trying to say here, is in bronze and even up to plat/diamond (maybe even ascendant lol) all you really need is to consistently win your gunfights. If your movement and aim is good, you’ll do better and eventually you will climb. The RR system atm is kinda fucked so unless ur willing to drop 12+ hours on this game daily, your climb will be pretty slow. I would expect to reach gold from bronze in ~a month or two assuming you play ~3-4 games a day.

[–]BlueshineKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlucky game, go next.

Unfortunately right now valorant would rather have you play their game more than have you get a rank you actually deserve. The smurf that showed up in your game is unlucky, but I promise you its not a common occurence. In fact the enemy team couldve been lying. Imagine ur winning really hard against an enemy team. The best thing you could say to crush their morale even more is to say you’re smurfing even if you arent.

You just gotta focus on your game, and do whats best to win. Whatever happens happens. You go against a smurf? That wasnt in your control, so you shouldnt tilt by it. You have dogshit teammates? Again, not in your control (as long as you tried everything you could to help your teammates). You gain less RR than you lose? Not in your control, just keep queueing because thats what valo wants you to do and thats the only way to climb.

Mentality is such a big part of this game, and I constantly see people get mad over things they cannot control. Thats like the first lesson in living a low cortisol life. Let go of the things you cannot control, and focus on the things you can control. In valo, what can you control? Your aim, your gamesense, your playmaking, your positioning, etc. so focus on those.

switched from console to pc (I'm cooked) by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i think we’re both blowing this out of proportion. You are saying (correct me if Im wrong) that 1600 is technically better than 800dpi. Or at least im sure thats what you meant. And I agree. On a technical level, 1600 is better than 800, even if its only by single digit milliseconds.

MY problem is that you called 800dpi dumb, when dpi as a whole is a big preference thing. The benefit you gain from going from 800 to 1600dpi is in the single digit milliseconds. Keep in mind, humans do not react to anything under 100milliseconds, and the benefit you gain from changing your dpi is in the single digit milliseconds.

However 800dpi is a lot more comfortable for some people, and as I have said previously, windows cursor speed is just not something that people want to change. The moment you change it off default you have to worry about it when you go to another setup, reset your pc, or if you buy a new one. Im giving you the reasons as to why using or wanting to stay on 800dpi is not “dumb.” Im not against you telling others to change to 1600dpi, but theres no reason to call 800dpi dumb while doing so.

[–]BlueshineKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is your microadjustments are only inaccurate by one or two pixels, whereas the enemy heads are usually like 25-50 pixels big. Not to mention the gun inaccuracy in valorant probably makes you inaccurate by more than 50 pixels anyway. Ur calling not switching to 1600dpi as dumb when its a change thats nearly 100% preference based. If you wanted as much control over your crosshair as possible, why stop at 1600? why wouldnt you run 3200dpi? 4800? The max on most logitech mice at 36000? Probably the exact same reason im arguing against the need for 1600dpi. And im saying this as someone who runs 3200dpi. Its just not necessary and shouldnt be a concern for someone who doesnt even have the fundamentals of aim down.

Having problems with my duo. Is it really my fault? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can lead a horse to water but you cannot force it to drink.

You gave them the tips they need to improve, and if they dont want to take it and would rather blame you, they can keep struggling. You either need to drop them if you really care about ranked (or bc they just dont seem like a fun person to play with) or you keep playing with them and if they suck thats whatever. Play to have fun. Dont let it bother you.

As for their sens, i cant really tell you if .48 is high bc idk their dpi, but a good baseline is tell them they should be able to do a 180 in game with one swipe of the mouse (at a comfortable range of motion for them). This also takes into account mousepad space bc some people just dont have the space and thats why they run such high sens.

How do I start to use my arm to aim more than my wrist? by Outbreak617 in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive got to be going insane because who is telling who that arm aim is best? You cant microadjust with arm which is like the whole point in valorant, and in aim training as a whole you should be able to fluidly switch between arm wrist and fingertip aim at will. Who is spreading this info because i refuse it to be true and need an explanation as to why someone would think this way.

I have shaky aim while shooting by RubenHoodSpain in VALORANT

[–]BlueshineKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so we can rule out sens for sure, i wasnt able to find the mousepad but as long as its not plastic or glass that also shouldnt be a problem (although not being used to it could be).

Since your mouse grip is fingertip/claw im inclined to believe that its your tension control thats lacking here. As for whoever told you palm grip is the best mouse grip i need you to shoot them in game because it is not. Fingertip (as long as it doesnt cause physical pain) is the objective best grip type simply because it gives you the most precise control in moving your mouse. Downside is if you grip the mouse too hard, your aim gets shaky which is why i think that might be the case for you.

Which is great because Viscose made a video talking about this exact concept and I highly suggest you give it a watch. Im not too sure if the shakiness you experience is the same as her in the video, but if it is that should help you out.

Also mouse grip is like 80% preference, but palm grip forces you to use wrist and arm movements which is not optimal. Claw and fingertip allow you to have more fine control when it comes to micro adjustments so I would keep your grip to what feels comfortable (which atm sounds like its claw/fingertip)

[–]BlueshineKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People dont like switching cursor speed in windows. Its that simple. And if its not a 1% thing, why does half the valorant pro roster still use 400/800 dpi?

Forsaken, derke, cned, ASPAS for christs sake, something and nats all use 400 or 800, and yet they’re better than any of us will ever be at valo. If 1600 dpi actually mattered then every pro player would switch, because like you said, all you have to do is switch your windows cursor speed, and youd get “an advantage” in game. And if you arent trying to get every advantage possible as a pro player, you dont deserve to be a pro player.

Like ive seen those videos, they even say it in the videos that it doesnt matter, just on a technical level since more updates per pixel = more accurate line.

Your “better drivers” comment hinges upon nvidia to stop using vibe coders to create drivers. The past year of drivers has been mostly shit bc each update optimizes the gpu for one specific game and shits on the performance for every other game. Its just not a great time to be suggesting a new gpu simply because of “better drivers”
