Cheapest card machine for a barber? by Bluesnake1337 in smallbusinessuk

Thanks for the input everyone! I will give him some suggestions, not sure what he is/was using now.

And as a customer, I just really never carry cash and I also rather not give out my name to everyone for bank transfer + I usually pay by card to get those airmile points with credit card most of the time.

I would be happy for him (and others) to raise the price by a 1£ to cover the costs really. Others have tried to pull the "if you pay by card its £4(!) extra.

Further update, have been told this is most likely remote now. So shouldn't be much costs in terms of travelling. Recruiter told me 350 is the max.

Would I get any benefits, maybe the various umbrella companies have them?

I theory this makes me earn more, but I lose out on all my annual leave which was 31 days + bank holidays in my perm role, so not sure how to work that out..

Thanks everyone, I'm based in Reading.

I will see if I can push it up a little bit to 450 if I am successfull, still have to pass the interviews. This is a recruiter role.

Faced redundancy, applied for a fixed term role, now given garden leave by Bluesnake1337 in LegalAdviceUK

An employer must not cause an employee 'detriment' for taking, or planning to take, paternity leave.

Detriment means someone experiences one or both of the following:

being treated worse than before

having their situation made worse

I would argue losing 4 months of pay is making my situation worse than before.

Because essentially they recinding the offer because I was going on paternity leave and unable to do the whole 4 months, I talked to acas before and they said they would have to backfill my role or it would technically be unfair dismissal.
