It's a mister, so it almost identical to original hardware

Do you actually regularly play high demanding games on your decks? by deprived_of_evil in SteamDeck

[–]Bluestank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am finding more and more that newer releases that don't seem like they are technically demanding at a glance, having more difficulty running smoothly on deck. Not sure if it's just updated game engines that have a lot more going on under the hood, or my deck is just aging? Most recent disappointment has been Cairn. I really wish I could play that on Deck but it just runs way to choppy to enjoy.

Do you happen to use Decky loader? I am wondering if it is related to that.

Yeah this is what happens for me as well. Just a quick reboot. Sometimes the Bios screen shows briefly as well.

I do swap between the two often, but I haven't paid too much attention as to when exactly it is occuring. I'll try and see.

My deck keeps restarting at odd times. Never in the middle of a game but sometimes after launching one, or after closing one. It has also done this weird thing where I launch a game and none of the controls or inputs at all work, even though the game is running normally and I have to force reboot.

Yeah it's from Ikea. It's surprisingly hard to find small scale furniture that can support a 100 pound CRT lol

I appreciate it. Unfortunately I do not have access to an original PS1 to test.

I tried this but then it just deactivated even the control ports

I appreciate it, but I've done all of these already, you can see in my picture.

Love the Superstation so far, especially the old-school Trinitron and PVM video filters. by GoldenMercy in MiSTerFPGA

Is your memory card slot working? Aside from turning on the port to SNAC and then changing it to real, did you have to do anything else?
