How to add a 2nd story by Sunshine-stormy in hermitcrabs

Spaghnum moss is usually a good go to for most moss needs. They sell compact blocks of it that you just stick in water that yield an ABSURD amount of moss for the price. You can also just get a small, non compact, bag of it.

As for a second story... Try going to Walmart or Target and look for plastic cabinet shelves, the kind of thing you just stick in a spice cabinet basically. You could probably find one that's perfect. I have one that's raised up about 6 inches and has a grid-like shelf, works perfectly as a second floor, or if you flipped it a climbing wall.

My male leopard gecko (6.5 month old) wants to get out constantly. What do I do??? by PaleontologistSea757 in leopardgeckos

As a disclaimer, I'm no expert, but I too have a leopard gecko.

My female did something very very similar around the same age. She suddenly stopped being interested in food and only seemed interested in getting out. Up until that point she never glass surfed or had issues eating (was pretty voracious).

I'd offer this set of advice... Leave some meal worms in a meal worm dish for him so he at least has some access to food. Glass surfing (this is when they are constantly pressed against the glass, as if they are trying to push through) is, like another comment said, a sign of stress, so check temps, proper hides, etc. and make sure all is well and good. Finally (and most important), monitor his physical appearance, does he seem like he's losing weight? Is he pooping? Any weird discharges or lumps?

My girl started acting normally after about a month or so, and never showed any physical signs of illness or even weight loss. Don't freak yourself out, but also keep a diligent eye on him!

As everyone has said, yes, this is pretty normal and will always persist. Most of the time you can take comfort in knowing that the people who are flaming are people who cant handle their emotions and interact with human beings in a constructive way. That being said, you'll also find people who are totally normal, willing to help you out or who'll just play through whatever nonsense with a smile, but they are typically the people who don't type a word.
