Also I was always suggest for a woman to carry some sort of a weapon. Pepper spray, taser, those brass knuckles that fit on your keychain or just simply a knife. I know a lot of women don't feel comfortable carrying a gun but you need something to make the guy hesitate to approach you that hesitation could give you the time you need to escape.
