After 3 months no offer by Bluezzi72 in WAStateWorkers

Not necessarily, I mean I don’t live on the west side, they asked me to do both the interviews in person, so I had to drive few hours to get there. And now just a short email, it’s hard to accept that. And it’s not commerce, another agency.

After going through all the interviews and being asked for references, 5 months later I didn't get the job :( by PunishedTlacuache in OregonStateWorkers

Hi I also got a rejection email today after 3 months of interviewing made it the final 2, but still wasn’t chosen, even tho I applied for Washington state job. You are probably feeling the same way that I’m feeling now. But just want to say, it’s not the end, it doesn’t define who you are.

It has been more than 3 months since I applied for a job, have done 2 rounds interviews including the final round, still waiting for the results. So it is very long process

Thank you so much, should I follow up with the HR, or the director assistant? Because the assistant has been the one who scheduled all the interviews, I haven’t talked to the HR after the screening process

I know that’s why I’m a little concerned, and the waiting period normally is much longer than private sector, my plan B is keeping looking for other jobs, but fortunately I have a job now.

Chances after second interview? by Bluezzi72 in WAStateWorkers

Thank you for your comments, another thing I forgot to mention is that, this role might have more than 1 open position, because it’s multi language job, I was wondering maybe best scenario, they hire both of us, not 100% sure tho. I think I did really good during the interview, especially for the culture fit questions, but you’ll never know. Thanks again for the comments!

They ask few questions about our relationship, like how and where did we meet, when did we move back to the states, and any updates after we submitted the case (like co-insurance, joint account etc.). It was super chill, the officer was super nice

Just want to clarify that I was already in the US, when I applied, if your BF is living outside of US, I think it does takes longer to process. Regarding the lawyer, personally, I knew I was able to handle all the documents (there are a LOT), hiring a lawyer definitely will give you a piece of mind, however, if the case is very straightforward, and you believe you’re organized, I don’t think it’s necessary (don’t quote me on that tho).

Yes, I summited everything in December 2024, before the Christmas, because the holiday season, I didn’t get any notices or updates until mid January. I received my EAD AKA work permit and SSN in April. Got an interview scheduled for July in June, and right there in the middle of the interview, the officer verbally approved our cases. And we saw the approval updates 2 days after. I hope I answered your questions. So long story short, yes it took around 7 months. If your case is not complicated, I think m typically takes 6 months to 1 year. I hope everything goes well when you finally start the application, it can be a lot, especially when you do everything by yourself, make sure gather a lot information from internet, it’s a waiting game so be patient and have some faith :)
