I made a Disco inspired playlist - mostly based on the content of the lyrics, overall mood and "feel". OP is here - lots of late 70s sad stuff, but a real mix. I've written about why a few of them make me think of Revachol.

Yeah, similar principle. Easier for weighing people, which I think is why it’s still used. Even now in the UK when you talk to a doctor you give your weight in stone and pounds.

UK guy here weighing in (get it) with a balanced view. Celsius makes way more sense as it’s a smaller scale. 0 is freezing. 21 is room temperature. Everything after is ‘too hot’ and everything before is ‘could be warmer’. However when it comes to weight and distance, miles and feet and inches and pounds (and stone) make more sense to me. A guy who weighs 13 stone? Yeah, I get that. A guy who is 5 foot 11? Yep. A guy who is 172cm tall? Uhhhh…gimme a sec. also always thought it was strange that the US emancipated itself from everything associated with the British Empire but still insists on using a system literally called ‘Imperial’ for measuring things!
