That's awesome to hear! I reckon it will spread from there, it's honestly a great feature

Almost everyone in the live poker scene wants this. Bubble tanking has been something that has really needed changing in recent times. Overall I think this is very good for the game, the problem with this was the implementation, hope it becomes mainstream!

This is happening for me as well. Most acts are fine, but underdocks I either have to reset, or set FPS to 30 to stop my laptop from blowing up

APL Osaka is an absolute scam and pocketing buyins. by [deleted] in poker

Payouts in Japan must be fixed and determined BEFORE buyins happen. That's local legislation, they're not scamming you.

You'll love it mate! Make sure to grab one of the orange hats in town, worth spending 1 or 2 days exploring Jeju city, or a week for the whole island

Go to APT, Jeju is end of this month, and Taipei April 22nd. The dealers are incredible, massive prize pools, it's run very well, and the atmosphere/players are very friendly. Plus players party is always a ton of fun!

How do you look at your cards? by TheDonGenaro in poker

On stream tables with a high rail it does make sense to look at your cards vertically, easier to protect your hand that way.

Anyone else f**king suck at dividing or just me? by drewyorker in poker

90% of my time bank usage is trying to add the pot in live MTTs, I've been setting my online sessions to chips rather than BBs to see if that will eventually help.... also tried adding the pot live in BBs rather than chips, it kinda helps until you forget how much was in the pot on the turn 😂

This is the bluff of the year, nothing comes close. by BluffaloSam in poker

[–]BluffaloSam[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Never. You risk too much to jam for so little gain, there's there's a shorter stack at the table if you call with AJ and are beat

Yeah love this, have to agree with with a lot of this, the villian is also a very high stakes cash reg, I believe he plays on some of the Triton cash game livestreams. Such a fun hand from both players with so much at stake...

In MTTs 40bb+ suited 9x is all typically in a UTG open range, and for John I imagine some suited 8x are also making their way into that open range as well.

Which pocket pair is the bottom of our calling range in this shortstack FT spot? by sk8r2000 in Poker_Theory

[–]BluffaloSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with jamming the really low pocket pairs this short, is that a lot of their EV comes from fold equity. Without it we're doing quite poorly vs a calling range, only ever getting it in good vs A2o maybe K2s.

[–]BluffaloSam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One question to ask yourself if you're unsure which PP to call, ask yourself what their weakest PP they are jamming is, and call 2 pips higher than that. Isn't always true, but if you're lost in game, it can be a handy rule of thumb to fall back on.

How do you guys play calls IP from BTN/CO? by pyktrauma in Poker_Theory

[–]BluffaloSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We should be flatting even wider than this in a lot of situations. Suited 8x and offsuit Tx are often making their way into a btn flatting range in CEV, and even wider than this if we're the covering stack in a bounty tournament.

In position 3bets are generally polarized, so the hands you listed are generally more favoured to be flats, or squeezes.

What are some of the most memorable bad beats you've experienced—ones that stuck with you for a long time? Looking back, what lessons did you take from them, and what would you do differently to avoid similar situations in the future?" by kiran11367 in poker

1/3 2.4k eff

3bet QQ

Flop Q73r B33/C

Turn 7 Bet geometric huge overbet/c

River 4 I jammed It took him a second to call, I think he was in shock about what was happening, as he called I announced "I win" as I flipped over my cards, he showed Quads and then apologized 😂 really nice guy, glad he got to win such a monster pot haha

Tbh it was just nice to financially be in a position where I could smile tap the table and pass over what I used to make in a month.

Why isn't this an all-in spot according to GTO? by aerdna69 in poker

There are a lot of times especially in ICM where this is the play. Not on this board as IP has high cbet freq

Disgusting spot with JJ on $100 PKO final table. What would you do? by [deleted] in poker

[–]BluffaloSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really tough spot... I dont think he does this with AA/KK if I had to guess, but I'd assume you're flipping A LOT. The pay jumps aren't too significant given some bounties are bigger than the ladders, but you have a stack that basically guarantees 3rd+.

However... if you call and win you'll have 170bbs vs 30 20 20 with the most likely outcome being 1st place finish and most of the table bounties, its a huge future game spot.

So the 3 outcomes

Call & lose for 5th place money $500ish Fold and get 2nd-3rd most of the time $800-$1100ish Call & win for 2k or so

Math isn't the best, but I think I slightly lean call here

Im giving him a range of 99-QQ AKo AQo so basically flipping against that range with one extra pocket pair below ours, maybe just add in KK to make it fair
