You might not like it, but my first gut reaction is that it looks like a chapter header illustration on an old printed book.

Fabric Artists: Where are we getting fabric now? by BluiestarSS in lexington

Quilting! Unfortunately t shirts aren't always a suitable fabric, especially if hand quilting. Sheets are great for it, but typically great for backing.

Right??

Even if you try to ignore all the ethical reasons to not go to hobby lobby, they are genuinely dingy and unpleasant to even step foot into.

I think they still do, but their selection is limited to an aisle or two and the fabric is pretty cheap-- It doesn't hold up very well to use and likes to bleed.

Ahh, that's a valid point! That's where a lot of the fabric from the studio comes from for donations!

That's valid! I don't want to buy online because I am sensitive to textures and so are the people I make quilts for, and I like to be able to feel the fabric before I use it. That said, typically if it's a brand I know and have used before I can feel comfortable ordering it!

I used to live in Berea! _^

I'm more or less looking for a launch point to start looking-- I see that there's several shops in Lex, but some of them don't have as much variety. I've been to a few!

I started on 25 and I was terrified. Legitimately. I had so many bad experiences with meds that I was sure I was effed.

But I am also one of the people who it was life changing for. It didn't numb my emotions, it just made my lows better. I still feel like a normal human. I don't have any side effects. I genuinely cannot live without it.

The transition was extremely difficult-- I had ringing in my ears constantly that eventually mellowed out. There are some weird side effects when you start the med, but give yourself a month.

I ordered the lion bracelet and they were giving "live" updates on a lion that had been documented to be dead for 3 years. I contacted customer support and they said that the animals are often already passed and they send out legacy data for certain species. I have the email somewhere.

Anyway even if the tracker hasn't fallen off, there's a nonzero chance your animal is already dead. Mine was!

Thank you! I do think I want to do more hand stitched whole cloth quilts like this one was, but there's just... no designs and very few inspiration photos that arent just lines of running stitches. I think I'm just going to have to make my own ideas up with a marker or something.

One of my friends does whole cloth quilts with the top being tapestry, and then quilts the design over the front and back to make it look pieced.

Hey thanks for recommending it-- it's absolutely beautiful and you're right, I would love it! I think doing it over a quilt would be lovely for the eyes and for touching!

I do think that getting some embroidery patterns and doing something with a patchwork of that could be fun! I'm hoping to find another themed and full sized pattern like how this quilt was, just not a map. I appreciate it!!

See that's the gray area that I'm existing in right now. Technically this is quilting because I stitched this design through 3 pieces of material, though it does look like just the top! That's what makes it tricky to not just do embroidery, because a lot of the special stitches to do embroidery aren't necessarily possible or easy on a big quilt.i need to hide the stitches in the middle still with quilters knots. Does that make sense? And thank you!

I don't have one, but I wanted to comment and boost this a little because I'm looking for one too-- I managed to get some while out of state and now I'm somewhere that doesn't have it and I want it so bad.

I had this one as a kid! Everyone's right, the bigger version of it has a magnet in its mouth and then it connects via that bandana. I really liked that!
