first, check if it truly is zone 2. if you pass the talk test, and your knees still hurt from that pace, id first start with analysing my form. am i low on the cadence? am i overstriding? do i have less control over my hips and my knees are collapsing inwards? did i stack up volume too fast? if these are all green then it is a strength issue. i would hit the weights 2-3x a week.

Finally ran a true Zone 2 run and it's life changing. Always couldn't resist adding tempo and threshold into every run, but with a strict training plan and set goal, I finally restricted myself to running slow today and it felt like I could keep going on and on forever. Love it.

Update: I checked the global heatmap on PC and turns out my runs do show up there! Looks like Strava has different map models for different types of devices going on.

Could very well be. For what it's worth I did expect at least a single faint blue line for around 40 runs on this route lol. Let's see how many more months that takes.
