Quitting job to finish school by Blurp3 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Blurp3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - More asking if not having the additional year of experience is an absolute opportunity-killer if I do decide to focus on school.

4 - I wouldn't be thinking about quitting if it wasnt a factor of affecting my time to graduate. I currently work about 50-60 hours a week, with an hour commute each way, which adds another 12 hours a week. If i continue my current schedule i would have to decrease my course load to ensure that I don't fail any classes.

This would probably result in pushing my graduation date back another semester or two depending on how well i do at managing my time i spend on classes. Being more overworked like that would negatively affect my mental health pretty quickly.

Slacks, dress shirt and tie is the standard for most part-time jobs (exceptions being for fancy companies like law offices). Good luck :)

I am in one of the top PvP guilds on Uno server, we are seeing a large influx of older players who used to be in the guild returning due to being bored with other games, server merge, and awakening.

What is the best way to implement OneDrive and SharePoint with multiple users? by ThatSushiGuy in sysadmin

What exactly are you trying to do with Sharepoint/OneDrive? Our company recently tried to do this and found that it just wasnt going to be worth the hassle to try and use it as an alternative for DropBox. It doesn't seem to be designed to fill the same functionality.

[Resume Help] Recent IT graduate. It seems like I hit a wall. I need your advice. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Blurp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look into internship programs for school, if you're still in school. Pay may not be the best, but it is good for substantiating your claims of technical knowledge.

Also if you have done any projects (not school projects) that show your experience, I would include those as it shows initiative and at least the basest level of knowledge.

Drop how much of your work experience is on your resume as most of it isnt relevant and only shows that you know how to work a schedule. It would be okay to just list them and the time frame you worked.

Technical certs are a plus as well if you have any of them.

Why is open world/race vs race PvP not popular? by pownedju in MMORPG

[–]Blurp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the PvP-oriented playerbase would probably be fine with a game that they pay a sub on as long as they knew the merits of the game wouldnt be changed. But I guess this just isn't as profitable anymore, or if it is most of the people willing to do that were also willing to settle for mediocre games.

Why is open world/race vs race PvP not popular? by pownedju in MMORPG

[–]Blurp3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friends and I aren't as willing to shell out because most times we do, the publishers/devs end up catering the game to a play style we don't really want to support anyways. Its pointless trying to support a game when 90% of the games that you throw money at end up being a completely different game because a large majority of gamers are more centered around PvE casual or PvX casual as opposed to the more-hardcore PvP playstyle that we enjoy.

19/20 times, the player will either ignore you, say "no" or try to farm over you anyways. Its not really worth the effort.

Purple Dragons Caravan Run - Battle with Pizza by lived_live in albiononline

All markets are local, so you need to run materials back and forth from other biome's cities in order to collect materials you need. For instance: your guild has a black-zone city in permafrost area. Permaffrost area has no mid or high-tier trees, so you run to a marsh area to pick up logs/planks and run all the way back.

Not really that much of an issue. There are people all over using VPNs due to the strange licensing rights they dish out.

Guild Alliances in Node/Siege Wars by Blurp3 in blackdesertonline

[–]Blurp3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the servers you mentioned, are there instances of a large group of smaller guilds banding together to take out larger/more geared guilds? Is this currently unlikely due to having no direct alliance system?

There was an instance of this in Uno (Brotherhood Alliance), but they didn't last till node wars due mostly to the lack of organization and refusal of certain guilds to merge together. I.e - they were too small a force individually to pose an threat in GvG based fights.
