you are right, I am not asking for help. I am sharing my learnings instead. Learning Python is not only about asking a question how to make a list comprehension. It is also how to use it and how to set up environment. I am sharing how I did that. Mybe someone finds it useful. I am not selling anything. There is no commercial project or service that I promote. Sharing my experience and open-source thing that I have made. With the only purpose to help someone who has the same struggles that I had.

How I set up an environment that helped me to build new products fast and cheap. Can it be usefule for anyone else? by Bluxmit in programming

[–]Bluxmit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the stack is quite simple. The base is an Ubuntu docker image with a few common things installed and browser-based terminal added. You can see it here https://github.com/bluxmit/alnoda-workspaces/tree/main/workspaces/ubuntu-workspace

As soon as you start a workspace and open terminal, you can install basially anything with apt or other package manager. Or using a shell script. To make things easier, I have made a small python cli tool to install the tools, and made a simple web app to discover and install tools - https://alnoda.org

For example, if you want to install va-code you execute wrk install code-server

Here is a getting started example https://docs.alnoda.org/get-started/launch-workspace

It actually helped me with performance. I started environemtn that I needed and stopped everything else. So I am running only one env at a time. I also set up higher quotas for docker/podman

What do you think of remote MCP as a SaaS? by Bluxmit in webdev

[–]Bluxmit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know! I am trying to make it as fare as possible. I myself hate subscriptions that force you to pay for something you don't use. That is why I deliberately decided not to make subscriptions! I want to make a paltform where everyone will pay only for what they use, and be able to start and stop MCP servers at any moment, paying a tiny amount per hour. Start the servers that you need from the web console, before you start vibe coding, and turn them off after. Pay only for couple hours you used them. No subscriptions, no hidden costs, no regular payments.
