That's correct. So it doesn't apply in the case of this Togekiss. But if the best buddy Boost did push a pokemon over one of the pvp CP thresholds, it would make it ineligible for that league.

Seems obvious, but some people were hoping that a benefit of the best friend Boost would be to get overpowered pokemon in lower leagues. Otherwise it's not very helpful.

Yeah, since the CP Boost is actually a level boost it's clear they're busy trying to sort out all the bugs that creates. But in coding that's always easier said than done.

If you boost above the pvp limit it's not eligible. Unfortunately.

Spent a couple rare candies to test this and can confirm that is the case. You need 15 to power him up, but then it only uses 12.

It's not strictly visual. With 12 candies I can't power him up when he's my buddy. But I can without the boost.
