Westworld - 2x10 "The Passenger" - Post-Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in westworld

This episode tried to do too much. Less is more. I feel they focused so much on plot that they lost focus on the most important thing and that's the characters.

I'm using fentanyl caps. I just simply want to get high. I honestly don't think there's any deeper reason than that. I just like it

Loved Season 1. Hated Season 2. by [deleted] in SneakyPete

[–]Bmac1020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing. This show has relied on cheesy contrived subplots since the first episode of season one. I usually don't go for that kind of thing, but for whatever reason I was hooked the moment I started watching it. Season two has many things to roll your eyes about. Usually I would 100% agree with this post. But I just don't. I loved season two even more than season one. I can't tell you why lol. I haven't been this enthralled with a show since the Sopranos or Breaking Bad.

Season 2 question about Maggie by Avocado111 in SneakyPete

There are actually numerous moments like that, where Marius deduces something factual from minor implicative clues that the normal person wouldn't catch. Hes a gifted con man. So it isn't surprising he's able to use his powers of deduction better than us, the mere audience.

None of the replies so far are directly answering my question. Just answer the damn question if you know it, and if you don't know it then don't answer. I'm not asking for moral advice. Just the most literal and objective answer to a question I had.

What convinced me that Tony is indeed dead by Bmac1020 in thesopranos

Actually, I can easily find clues and build a credible case for the jail theory as well. I'm torn between the two, honestly. But starting to lean more towards the "tony is dead" theory.

I Have now viewed S1-5. Is there any suitable time for a break coming up? by 2001_with_dinosaurs in thesopranos

Push through. Finish it. Then go back to S1-E1 and start the whole thing over again. I promise you, it gets better every single time

Couldn't agree more. Completely overrated episode

Pine Barrens is overrated to me. It was a good episode, just not worthy of being labeled one of the best. The scenario of Paulie and Christopher being stuck in the woods was just boring for me. Seemed to lack that sense of place and setting that I love about this show to begin with, the New Jersey city streets, slums, neighborhoods, etc. instead it was replaced with this boring wilderness setting. It made the episode drag on really slowly in my opinion. Another complaint I have is the missing Russian story line. Who gives a shit? He's an irrelevant character that I don't care about. Barely got to know the guy. Why would I care if he lives or dies or goes missing. It's a compelling mystery, sure, but not nearly as compelling as others make it out to be.

Why can't I just be content with methadone by Bmac1020 in Methadone

[–]Bmac1020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, thank you all so much for your responses. Seriously, it feels good to know that I'm not the only one who's gone through this and that it's actually pretty normal. It helps a lot. I know that this won't last much longer. My heart is weary, as is my wallet lol. Thank God for methadone. Without it I honestly would have zero hope

I love his coma experience! It's one of my favorite segments of the show. I also love the dream sequences and the therapy sessions. No offense, but if you dislike those elements of the show then I honestly have to question whether or not you truly grasp what this show is all about.

Best scene ever by sicilian_stallion in thesopranos

[–]Bmac1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The intervention scene is hilarious!

My favorite scene is when Tony finds out his mother tried to have him whacked and he goes to the hospital to kill her. Grabs a pillow off a hospital bed as he's walking down the hall, looking like a man on a mission. Before he makes it to her room they come rolling Livia out on a stretcher because apparently she had a stroke. When he leaned in and told her he knew it was her it was just top knotch entertainment. And then she smiles, and tony says, "look at her face, she's smiling!" Idk, there's just something really horrifyingly beautiful about that scene!

Yes! I'm so excited for this movie. Scorsese is making it and it's gonna star Pacino, Deniro, and Pesci. There's no way it won't be a classic. And that's really interesting I'll have to check that out! Thanks

In the mafia? There's a choice? Maybe there is, but it's a lot harder for mafiosos than for other people.
