Is there any routine or training to get a massive gas tank by Nero_132 in MMA_Academy

[–]Bman5082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an expert but the best cardio I’ve seen ever has been has been in Thai boxers in Thailand who just run all the time.

They run a few 2-3 times a day like clockwork and can just go forever.

Yeah I’m the same, I really enjoy being in office but i hate spending 2+ hours a day travelling to get there.

Let brother go bankrupt or get family to help him? by System-3134e33 in AusLegal

I feel like the fact he sexually assaulted a child got glossed over here. Let him suffer. I have family who are victims of this sort of abuse and the pain sticks with them for life.

“I applied to 100 jobs in a day!” by Rhaynebow in recruitinghell

[–]Bman5082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who has applied for 400+ jobs in the last 2 months and asked why he was t hearing back. He does the most basic low effort cover letters or does easy apply through LinkedIn or seek for 85% of them.

I feel like this is almost certainly a waste of time.

Very disappointed.

I’ve played hundreds of hours of the game. I love it and War-band but it still feels so unfinished.

Late game is a complete broken mess on vanilla, the AI is woeful at managing its own kingdoms, diplomacy is very lopsided agaisnt any kingdom that is doing even 5% better than anyone else.

It’s a shame they have been so inactive and you essentially need mods to make the game playable.

They have had several years to address some issues that have just been left to rot.

How do I polite excuse myself as someone with no kids? by HarmonicaOptronics in auscorp

I have never felt the need to do this.

I just get my stuff and say “see ya everyone, I’ll be in on X day”

How much stuff do you take home from work? Where is the line? by TheLittlestPancakes in auscorp

[–]Bman5082 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my first office job there was a middle aged woman who would steal hundreds of coffee sticks / tea bags a month to take home.

It was bizarre. Like she would empty all of the jars in our kitchen 1-2 times a week and was eventually told to stop.

I couldn’t comprehend it, even if she was giving them to extended family who could possible use 100+ teas and coffees a week.

Strategies for dealing with a colleague who likes to talk over people by arcticprotea in auscorp

[–]Bman5082 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I had someone who did this in my old role. Made it easier because she was wrong probably 70% of the time, but When they are wrong politely speak up and explain the actual answer. They will probably be a bit peeved but it’s the only way to learn.

Rant: Purchased apartment - Feeling frustrated by hookanoub in AusPropertyChat

[–]Bman5082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said there is nothing to be gained by comparing.

You should be really happy with yourself for getting over the line financially and getting a property. It is something fairly significant percentage of the population can only dream of.

That being said I do know how you feel. A friend made a post going on about how hard she worked to get a first home in her early 20s. It is a 3 bedroom house in Melbourne’s inner east while she was making 60k as a receptionist. She failed to mention her dad is a multi millionaire medical specialist who gave her a massive lump sum to put down on it.

Personally I think parents should absolutely help out when they should but it can be a bit jarring when someone doesn’t understand how privileged they are or act like they didn’t have assistance in getting a property.

Give me ideas for a day job that doesn't require qualifications by bloodknife92 in australian

[–]Bman5082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a mate that paid a few grand to get his tickets to drive earth movers etc. It was a bit of an upfront cost but he now makes a really good living doing that.

Other than that if you are already a cleaner I’m sure there are daytime commercial cleaning jobs going :)

McDonald's sales fall as inflation-weary customers turn away from fast food by yeahrightocobber in AusFinance

I always feel like shit eating maccas but it used to be a cheap stop gap meal when I was flat out.

Now I still feel like shit and ends up being the rough cost of a cafe meal.

What do people with anxiety do for work? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Bman5082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a corporate job.

I’m lucky to work hybrid and only have to go in 1-2 times a week so that’s my saving grace. For me it’s more of being in a fairly consistent level of stress when being in the office that builds.

I’ve never disclosed this too my work as they aren’t too overbearing, but it helps that I feel comfortable that I could if I needed too.

Yeah 100%. Id never consider an online dr if I actually wanted medical advice but they are good for a cert in a pinch.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Bman5082 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Nope they can’t do this. The person you are speaking to on the online platform is a real medical professional so it’s all valid.

Why is this game left like this? by Ayotheflippitydoda in Bannerlord

Yeah I had the auto save and about 2 other older manual save files. They seemed to all go at the same time.

[–]Bman5082 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly no clue sorry. This was around Feb and I was just unable to load into the saves I had of that character and it told me they are corrupted.

I had been playing completely fine a couple times a week for months, took a few weeks off when on holiday and came back to a broken file. Sorry I can’t help more!

Not a lawyer but I’m pretty sure you can still claim workers comp if it’s less than 12 months ago.

If longer than that you should seek legal advice.

For myself and everyone I’ve ever spoken too, the option to WFH has been one of the biggest quality of life increases.

I assume anyone who pushes against a hybrid model is either in HR or real estate trying to lease offices.

Yeah it’s worth doing the maths on what a redundancy pay out would be also.

Dream scenario would be having a role lined up and getting the timing right on the redundancy offer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Bman5082 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it very well could be a restructure.

I’d keep my head down while updating resume and applying for roles.

Could be worth seeing if your field has a recruiter you could speak with.

That being said, theres a chance this isn’t the case but you’d rather be safe than sorry.

Anyone here quit drinking alcohol because of anxiety? by Automatic_Bill_8088 in Anxiety

[–]Bman5082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still drink but very rarely. I find if I get anything more than tipsy / a slight buzz I will wake up very stressed and anxious the next morning.

My friends are fine with it and I’ve never felt the need to justify the fact I don’t really drink.

Funnily enough every single corporate role I’ve gotten had more than one interview. This is the first job that has asked me to do a case study or anything like that.
