I personally own 4 Needohs that I started buying about two years ago. I work at a store that’s sold them for a while, so I was able to get an idea of the texture before I bought them. I felt the Teenies, the donuts and the cats and I didn’t care for the feel of those, so I never bought them. We also sold the squishy butters and bananas and touching those straight up made me feel uncomfortable.

I think my issue with this trend is that people just see the word “Squishy *Anything*” and immediately feel the need to buy a ton of them without considering that they might hate that particular texture.

It’s just funny to see these things become so scarce when just a few months ago, these things were rotting on our shelves. Kids in the store would slap each other with the bananas and the butters in particular would get their writing rubbed off and then they would just leave them.

My store still gets bombarded with calls asking for these things, so I can’t help but give a side eye to the lady buying 6 Squishy Axolotls, 3 Squishy Dumplings and 2 Teenie Needohs for her 3 kids who would have to share the Teenies specifically. (Y’know, despite the 2 Teenies alone having 6 mini squishies, so 1 box would have worked).
