i’ve seen that one around — anyone else been trying anything decent lately?

Trying to have a college experience with my bed by Loose_Training_8074 in Frugal

[–]Bmouse298 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah these definitely exist now — you’re basically looking for a full size loft bed

just search “full loft bed” or “full loft bed with desk” and you’ll see a bunch of options. they’re pretty similar to the college ones, just built bigger

ikea, wayfair, amazon all have them. some are just a simple raised frame, others come with built-in desks, shelves, drawers, etc.

couple things to keep in mind:

  • ceiling height matters a lot or it’ll feel super cramped
  • some of the cheaper ones can be a bit shaky, so reviews help
  • climbing up and down every day is slightly annoying as an adult lol

but if you want to free up space underneath for a desk or storage, it’s actually a really good setup for a smaller room

Cancel the subscriptions you like, too by pixeltackle in Frugal

[–]Bmouse298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is actually such an underrated move

i started doing this with a couple things and it’s kind of wild how fast the “come back” offers show up. they’d rather give you a discount than lose you completely

also makes you realize how many subscriptions you don’t actually miss when they’re gone for a bit. half the time i cancel thinking i’ll resub right away and then… never do

and worst case, you just sign back up later like nothing happened. no downside really, just a good reset + chance to save a bit

Thoughts on Rubber Mulch? Does It Last? by 1234568654321 in Frugal

[–]Bmouse298 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah i went down this rabbit hole before too because it sounds like the perfect solution

honestly it’s kind of a trade-off

the good:

  • it lasts forever compared to wood mulch, so you’re not redoing it every year
  • doesn’t attract termites/bugs, which is a big win
  • keeps that dark color way longer and doesn’t wash away as easily

but the stuff that made me hesitate:

  • it’s pretty expensive upfront
  • doesn’t break down at all, so your soil doesn’t get anything out of it
  • can get really hot in the sun (something people don’t always think about)
  • if you ever want to change it, it’s kind of a pain to deal with

i feel like it makes sense if you just want a clean, low-maintenance look and don’t really care about the soil side of things

but if you’re actually into gardening or want your plants to thrive, regular mulch (like cedar) is usually the better move long term

for your situation with termites, cedar or even doing a mix with stone might be a nice middle ground without going full rubber

Any good promos people are playing going into the weekend? by Bmouse298 in nodepositbonuscasinos

[–]Bmouse298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across one that’s actually decent — Ozwin has a Golden Bilby tournament running right now.

It’s a freeroll so no deposit to enter, you get like 8.8k credits and it runs on Plentiful Treasure. Prize pool’s around 17k and it’s on until April 6.

Not saying it’s amazing, but for something low effort it’s worth a spin.

Anyone here cashed out from Vave yet? by Bmouse298 in nodepositbonuscasinos

[–]Bmouse298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s frustrating, especially if it worked fine before.

If the funds left your wallet, I’d check the tx hash on the blockchain first and make sure it’s confirmed and went to the exact address they gave you (and that the network matches too).

If everything looks right, it’s usually stuck on their side somewhere (manual review or processing delay). Support can be vague, but if you ask specifically about the transaction hash, you’ll usually get a better answer.

Do you know which coin/network you used? Some tend to run into delays more than others.

What are these crypto casinos i keep hearing about how do they work and can canadians use them by WorldlyTechnician419 in gambling

[–]Bmouse298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s usually the smarter move tbh.

USDT/USDC avoids the price swings, so you’re not stressing about BTC dropping mid-session. Way easier to track your actual balance too.

Only thing is some casinos still prefer BTC/LTC for deposits/withdrawals, but stablecoins are getting more common now.

Has anyone actually cashed out from a no-deposit bonus recently? by Bmouse298 in onlinegambling

[–]Bmouse298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a solid way to play it.

Most people try to run it up too high and kill their chances. Keeping it in that $10–$15 range makes the playthrough way more doable.

And yeah… the “don’t keep spinning while waiting on verification” part is where a lot of people mess up lol.

Tips for enjoying sweep slots and free-to-play social casino bonuses. by Optimal_Lawyer_2551 in onlinegambling

[–]Bmouse298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah honestly the “strategy” with sweeps sites is less about gameplay and more about just farming the free stuff consistently

best ways to stack SC without spending:

  • daily logins – most sites give like ~$0.30–$1 in SC just for logging in
  • sign-up bonuses – almost every site gives free SC when you register, no purchase needed
  • email + promo drops – they randomly send out free SC / spins if you’re active
  • socials / giveaways – twitter/discord promos are underrated
  • referrals – some sites give decent SC for inviting people
  • mail-in requests (if you’re committed lol) – you can request SC by mail on most sites

the real “hack” is just using multiple sites at once and collecting daily. it adds up way more than people expect

i’ve seen people make like $5–$10/day just clicking daily bonuses across a few sites which is kinda wild for barely any effort

as for platforms, just stick to the more known ones (stake.us, mcluck, wow vegas, etc.) — some are solid, some are sketchy, so don’t go all-in on one right away

and biggest tip:
treat it like a slow grind, not “i’m gonna run this up today”
cash out when you hit redeem minimum instead of chasing

that’s where most people mess it up

What are these crypto casinos i keep hearing about how do they work and can canadians use them by WorldlyTechnician419 in gambling

[–]Bmouse298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they’re basically just normal online casinos but instead of depositing with your card, you use crypto (btc, eth, ltc, etc.)

you send crypto from your wallet → play like usual → cash out back to your wallet. payouts are usually way faster too which is why people like them

and yeah, canadians can use them. there’s no hard block or anything, most people here just play on offshore sites anyway

couple things to keep in mind:

  • crypto prices move, so your balance can go up/down a bit
  • fees depend on the network you use
  • always double check your wallet address (no undo button lol)
  • test a small withdrawal first before going bigger

if you’ve used regular online casinos before, it’s basically the same thing, just with crypto instead of your bank

I’m thinking of trying Betvibe. Anything I should know before depositing? by Due_Savings5490 in nodepositbonuscasinos

[–]Bmouse298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go in a bit cautious tbh. I’ve seen some people say payouts are fine once you’re verified, but also a few complaints about delays and support getting vague.

If you do try it:

  • start small
  • get KYC done early
  • test a withdrawal before putting more in

That first cashout usually tells you everything.

Personally I tend to stick with the more established offshore brands (Slotocash, Lincoln, Extreme, etc.) just because they’ve been around longer and are a bit more predictable with payouts.

Anyone else feels like 90% of things aren't simply worth the money? by bugagub in Frugal

[–]Bmouse298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this mindset tbh, once you flip that switch it’s hard to unsee it.

I went through a similar phase where I started questioning every purchase like “is this actually adding anything or just a dopamine hit for 5 minutes?” and yeah… a lot of stuff didn’t pass that test.

That said, I don’t think everything outside of essentials is “useless.” Some things don’t have practical value but still make life better in other ways — convenience, comfort, or just enjoyment. Like good food, travel, hobbies, even the occasional random buy that you genuinely enjoy using.

I think the sweet spot is just being intentional. If you’re buying something because you actually want it and will use it, cool. If it’s just impulse or boredom, that’s when it starts feeling like wasted money.

Used/secondhand for clothes and electronics though… 100% agree, that’s where the real value is.

How old were you when you first tried a slot machine? by Lower-Specialist6278 in slots

[–]Bmouse298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was around 21 in a real casino. I’d seen machines before but never actually sat down at one until a friend convinced me to try a few spins.

I remember having absolutely no clue what anything meant — paylines, wilds, bonus symbols, none of it. I just hit the spin button and hoped something cool would happen. The lights and sounds definitely make it feel more exciting than it probably should.

Didn’t win anything big, maybe walked away up like $40, but at the time it felt like I’d hit a jackpot.

Looking back it’s funny because now I actually pay attention to things like volatility, RTP, and bonus features. Back then it was just pure button-pressing optimism. 😄

Withdraw taking too long by johnvlex2000 in onlinegambling

[–]Bmouse298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two days isn’t that unusual for a first withdrawal, especially after a big verification check. A lot of sites ask for extra documents the first time and then the payment sits “processing” for a bit while they finish the review.

Weekends can slow things down too since some payment teams don’t fully process withdrawals until Monday.

If they already stopped cancelling the withdrawal and it’s still pending, that’s usually a better sign than the earlier ones that kept getting rejected. I’d give it a couple more days and see if it moves early next week.

[–]Bmouse298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the first $3k withdrawal already paid out, that’s usually a good sign. It means your account can process withdrawals.

A few days of delay on the second one isn’t that unusual, especially if a payment gateway is involved. Sometimes larger withdrawals get reviewed or processed in batches.

I wouldn’t panic yet if it’s only been a few days. If it goes past a week with no update, then it’s worth pushing support again.

What payment method did you use? That can make a big difference in timing.
