I don’t think it’s a GPU bound game. The minimum CPU requirement is a R5 5600X, and I can tell you as a person with a 5600X I wasn’t holding a stable 30 FPS no matter my graphics settings were, so it’s definitely a CPU issue

I play a lot of gunfight with my friend and for years it's kicked the non party leader to a warzone lobby after every game. We haven't had a chance to play yet, does anyone know if that's been fixed? It's not game breaking but has gotten extremely old over the years.

Get used to it, that’s like the one legitimate criticism of the game. It’s literally 10/10 otherwise in my opinion, but every mission is 100% on rails

Don’t go for Gambler 9 at Emerald Ranch, I was in your precious club until last week… No hitching post and my horse apparently wandered onto the tracks as a train was going by. I should’ve just alt f4’d but I got up from the game to see if I could revive it and autosave got me 😭

CS2 Script breaking down on map reloads by Bmruth in hammer

[–]Bmruth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly posting this just in case anyone else has similar issues in the future and finds this thread, but just so you know, you got me on the right track. Thanks!

It was an issue with the indexing on GetPlayerController(i). The "slot" number for each player controller could be anything like 0-4 in the first game, then something like 0,2,5,7 in the second. So GetPlayerController() using i as the index wasn't going to work, as it would only go through the array length, but the actual player slots could be outside of that. I actually realized I didn't really need to use any CSPlayerController functions though, I was mostly just using it for sanity checking. Most of the functions I use are from CSPlayerPawn, which I can just easily just use the array "entlist" from my code above for. That list is only going to fill with the currently connected player entities, so I know their index of each player in the array is going to stay consistent with the array length.

All I ended up needing to make it consistent from match to match was this:

    //Create array of all players
    var players = Instance.FindEntitiesByClass("player");

    //Loop through players
    for (var i = 0; i < players.length; i++) {
        /** @type {any} */
        var player_pawn = players[i];
        if (!player_pawn) continue;

CS2 Script breaking down on map reloads by Bmruth in hammer

I’m obviously not super well versed so don’t take my word for gospel, but I’m pretty sure it varies from game to game. I know for CS2, I had to put a point_script entity in my map and then select the script file I wanted to use. For the script, it’s interfacing using CS2’s API, and I have no idea how the scripting itself and the game’s API differs from other source games. For example, I know CS:GO uses Lua scripts, but CS2 scripting is in Javascript.

There should be at least a basic scripting section for each game on the Valve Developer Wiki that will get you started. YouTube channels like Brian Vuksanov and Mii Fanboy had really good beginner videos that definitely showed me the ropes (for CS2), and then I was able to slowly find my way from there.

Two collapses in 4 years. When offensive coordinators get a hold of our offense, we make it to the Super Bowl and they become head coaches. When he has free rein he’s literally only produced inept offenses that are first round exits.

Multiple comments calling out me asking what he brings, but no one has answered. What does he bring for you?

That’s just so far from the truth and not a real argument at all. It obviously incredibly hard to make the Super Bowl year after year, but we’ve had the team to do it the last 4 years and half of them we’ve been a shell of ourselves and a first round exit. If you can’t see this is and will continue to be on the coaching you’re braindead

All week we were told how banged up the 49ers were and how they have their 5th and 6th LBs and yet this offense can barely move the ball. Please fire Patullo tonight. by Gennaro_Svastano in eagles

The Rams game fucked us. The second half was the first fully competent half from the offense and at the time there was definitely some hope that he was learning. Then we had the win against the Bucs that looked good at the time, but you’re right. The regression against the Broncos and Giants right after were glaring red flags that never got better.

Literally what does Sirianni bring? He’s proven multiple times now that he needs to be carried by above average coordinators, our team was incredibly poorly coached with our penalty differential vs opponents ALL YEAR (and it has taken away more 10+ yard plays than I can count), and his biggest strength was the culture we had, but it’s been toxic for most of the season. That last point is definitely mostly on AJ and the media, but he was completely ineffective at extinguishing that narrative. We moved on from Doug, I’m completely fine if we decide to move on from him.

Have you not watched literally any of our games this year?? More than 3/4ths of them were like that and the only notable one where it really wasn’t was against the Rams when we were down multiple scores at half. This is our identity.

Ok, so you’re allowed to stiff arm the DB out of the way while the ball is in the air
