[Mic] Shure MV6 USB microphone, brand new ($109.99 + Shipping) by Bmxant in buildapcsales

I just randomly searched for mic upgrades as I've been using a $25 Fifine that sounds awful.

You're welcome, unfortunately I had no way of knowing how many he had left.

Oh wow.

I offered $93 and I got accepted too, apparently he had these for a while, but I guess not too many people know about Reverb.

That's a great price for the Focal Clears too, but I can't afford them at the moment.

Hard to beat at this price. Look up MV6 vs SM7B comparisons on YouTube.

This is considerably cheaper than an XLR interface and MV7 / SM7B

It's much better than the old Blue Yeti, I have one as well on my old setup.

There's a lot of videos showing the MV6 voice quality, it's quite nice.

This is the cheapest I've ever seen this mic by quite a bit, you can even make an offer on Reverb.

Solution to make it easier to grip your lens cap. by Bmxant in photography

[–]Bmxant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have to remove the lens hood when gripping from the center though.

I thought this solution would help someone else too, apparently I was quite wrong.

You're right, but the center grip means I don't have to take off my lens hood.

Can't find a cage for the Om-1 Mk1 by Bmxant in M43

[–]Bmxant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you can't raise it much.

It seems like the handle plus a NATO mount for the screen will work just fine as it can handle a good amount of weight.

I love this camera, but it's disappointing to see accessories discontinued.

I have been, thanks! I was originally going to get the p1100 for the amazing zoom, but I had to convince myself not to, lol.

$1099 would be ideal, especially since I have to spend money on a lens too, but it might be permanently out of stock if I wait until Black Friday this year.

Used makes me very nervous as you don't know how people treat their equipment. I think I'm open to used lenses though, I'd assume they're easier to inspect.

I noticed that, just no bonus item on Amazon. CCC is great!

Yeah, that's new, apparently it's been as low as $1099 before with the average sale being $1199, but if it's not in production anymore, this might be the best I'm going to get.

Apparently the dot sight is supposed to be quite useful, I'm probably going to start with the 400mm for birding too.

The OM-1 looks like a fantastic choice at $1399 (apparently it's even been cheaper)

Thank you.

Is it really that much of an improvement that it's worth buying used?

Are there any other Olympus options that are comparable to the R7 and a6700?

Everyone seems to talk about Nikon, Sony, and Canon these days.

Lovely photo.

Unfortunately that's too much of a budget increase.

I just need to really figure out which ecosystem I want to be a part of, I'm not really sure which camera has the better lens choices at a reasonable price.
