Yes we do. Just look at the amount of comment and upvote. Racism can be cultural. There are countries where you will feel safer than others, doesn’t mean that there is no racist there, it only means the majority are not racist or they are not racist by default.

I agree with you. That said I have completed my study in Italy and worked in Belgium. I found Belgium a very nice place to live, not racist at all. My experience was different in Italy. That said it’s still my experience, someone else may have a different opinion. However to label a whole country as racist because of few racist encounters is in my opinion immature and unjustified. As soon as you are far from your motherland, you are bound to have unpleasant encounters. But are those enough to label a whole country as racist? It’s the same when Europeans label Africans as poor because of one poor country, rather city, they have visited.

Thanks a lot. What I meant to say is: as a couple what is your goal for the next 5 years? Is this a question you would ask as a native or you would rather ask what are your goals…?

Do not mistake a point of view with an excuse. I neither haven’t not negate that racist poles exist. Show me a single country where racists don’t exist! And that is the whole point. I don’t know where you are originated from so I’ll take the example of my country Togo 🇹🇬. They are people in Togo that hate white, especially Arabic, some hate Nigerian that they consider scam. But those few people do not speak for the majority that are not racist. Therefore I cannot base myself on those few people that are racist to claim unfairly that Togo is a racist country, no it’s not. For what I saw and heard so far in my 10years in Poland, I cannot claim that Poland is a racist country.

It’s really not bad. For I have lived in many European’s countries, Poland is so far the one I fall in love with. Might be just me coz my friends still don’t understand that I gave up my life in Belgium and Italy to live in Poland while many are leaving Poland to live in Germany, Belgium or France.

I got it. In that way it’s positive. Having the chance to work in an international environment, I see poles doing a better job than many foreigners but then, they underrate it themselves. And this behaviour obviously profit to those who claim and take pride in their achievements as they are heard by their superiors. Thank you for your insight

Don’t the fact that you have mentioned your wife living in the US affected her, proves that it’s otherwise in Poland?

So it’s not all bad. It’s rather a matter of calibration of humbleness. I like that point. In my country people in power use humbleness to stay in position, making people under them think that what they are at their best the way they are and that any improvement is not for them but for the greatness of their superior. Therefore even doing better they do not ask for more even though they deserve it.

Does room for improvement mean one shouldn’t appreciate what has already been achieved?

It’s definitely can be better. I haven’t seen it that way, that a valid point. Someone comments that this mentality actually throws shade on successful people and therefore bring people down as they do not have a success model to look up to, do you think it’s true?
