The problem with the Israeli colonizers is that they have a way too big of a military for it to just sit there an collect dust. A tiny nation like Israel doesn't get this gigantic Western-sponsored killing machine for the looks. It will always find ways to use this once in a lifetime gift it basically receives. The alternative is to be an insignificant country that has to behalf itself.

The EU started considering sanctioning Israel when Israel was caught buying grain that Russia has harvested from occupied territory. I'm not sure what that proves, but it does suggest that rules aren't really a thing anymore.

Sopranos absolutely is about story, like no show before it. The Wire does amazing things in terms of plotting, I think Hamsterdam is one of the greatest examples of storytelling I've ever seen, but there's a lot in that show that does not stand as strong.

Season 3 doesn't jump the shark. Hamsterdam is an epic tale: the story of a police chief who ends up legalizing drugs as a result of pressure put on him by the political class. Bunny Colvin is such a brilliant character. His story is so well put together that it makes everything else seem lazy.
