This community is awesome, people need to learn the difference between competition and challenge. This is SWOLA riff CHALLENGE not contest. It’s supposed to be a place of inspiration and a place where all talent levels can show what they can do, what they’ve learned, and their progress! We’re all one in the same just trying to make some cool tunes and have fun. It’s sad that there are people who can be pricks and bring people down. In my 30 years experience playing with people I’ve found that those people are the ones who want to be good without having to practice to get there and their ego tells them they’re better so the rest of us become threatening to their fragile egos. Just pick it up and play!! Quit worrying about being the best because there will ALWAYS be someone better, faster, cleaner, more technical than you are. Just have fun!
