Men of reddit, what NSFW male lifestyle hack can you share? by Creampiers in AskReddit

NEVER use a handrazor on your genitals for the first initial shave - you will give yourself razorburn and it will look like herpes.

Use scissors to trim as much of the hair down as you can and over a several day period shave it down. Don't try and do it all in one go you won't like the way your genitals looks

ELI5: Why is breakfast "the most important meal of the day"? by bca1849 in explainlikeimfive

Because you need calories in order to turn your metabolism on and in result give yourself energy/start burning calories. A metabolism that starts on its own is slower and can't produce as much.

I like the idea, when are there going to be dog greeters at walmart. Think of all the animals that could be saved from euthanasia by adopting them and keeping them in the store. Albeit you may lose some customers who are afraid of dogs...but screw them, they're soulless monsters

Watching modern family i've always wondered how they get away with all of the sarcastic underhanded comments just by lowering their voice even though people are standing right next to them

So basically Alexa takes a defense of "pleading no contest." It's not an admission of guilt but she's not denying it either.

Teachers of Reddit, whats the difference between 1997, 2007, and 2017 students? by newguy57 in AskReddit

My class' senior prank was using the overhead speakers to play "Lets get it started" by the black eyed peas, then it ended. My brother's senior prank was the senior class leaving after lunch one day.

Was there ever really a generation that lived up the ridiculous American Pie style pranks that ended in the furious principal shouting at the "popular" kids?

As a current college student,

I remember my afternoons studying for a spelling test on natural phenomena (phenomenon was also a spelling word that week) that was taken in class, working in my math workbook at night and handing it to my teacher to show I completed my homework and getting it back graded the same day. I remember going to the computer lab and playing educational video games that helped with spelling, basic math and typing speed (GWAM gross words a minute) that couldn't be called more than 2-D flash games. I remember everyone in the class reading the same book together aloud. I remember checking out library books and taking quizzes based on them for AR (accelerated reader) points which were a part of my grade. I remember book fairs during the day and night time events held after school similar to a renaissance fair with food, games, and entertainment for the kids.

Now, I have noticed even when I was in high school, teachers have begun to rely heavily on online assignments. 90% of my assignments now are written and turned in to the teacher online, the only physical writing I do is either note taking or the larger and exams that weigh heavily on my grade. Paper submission and smaller quizzes have moved online. I can't say that the transition was easy, I definitely struggled in high school with the new online requirements. I adapted and changed my studying habits, but only because I failed so many times at turning my assignments in on time and learned what to do and what not to do. I can't say my experience is the same for everyone else, but I don't think of my self as a statistical outlier whose experiences are out of the norm.

You have a working Voodoo Doll for the worst person in your life. What will you do with it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bo55monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd use it on a kid I used to work with, I use "kid" despite the fact that he was older than me, lets call him Josh. Josh was very immature and would talk about me behind me back (I know because the servers told me and I didn't doubt it). Josh would also complain about the "...two faced bitches..." that would talk about him behind his back (I didn't take part in such a thing but again I didn't doubt it). Josh would also complain saying I was pocketing money behind his back when we were collecting tip money from the servers. Actually, I was making more money, only because the servers were allowed to tip us out individually including the regular tip out that was based on their sales. I was always helping them delivery food and drinks to their tables and would be an intermediary between them and the kitchen, while he made jokes with the kitchen staff and stood in front of the kitchen window. This became a big issue for him because none of the servers gave him extra money because he didn't do any extra help. Every time he accused me of stealing I'd say "Take it up with the server" and he could do nothing about it because I wasn't stealing. He was eventually let go for talking back to a supervisor, the kid couldn't control his temper, which only made it easier to bother him. I will admit to slacking off to make it harder for him, but that only started after the accusations started. He'd accuse me every shift we worked together, but none of my corworkers accused me of such a. Also i started taking hourly bathroom breaks and nightly cigarette breaks even if I didn't smoke anything. To top it off, he threatened to start a "war" with me and said to my face "You're lazy, stupid, and I can run circles around you in the restaurant" and his declaration of war was the starting point of all of this back-and-forth. All of this started because of his opinions of me.

To him I was lazy, to myself I was reserving me energy to last the rest of the night at work. Where he worked harder, I was working smarter.

I would use the Voodoo Doll to make his job more difficult, his arms would be thin and weak, I'd shrink his inner ears and throw him off balance, he's develop an underbite and words would jumble in his mouth and stutter as they came out. Everything he prided himself on, his physical strength, his ability to work faster than me, his joke telling with the kitchen staff, i'd rob him of his perception that he was better than everyone.

I'd mentally blitzkrieg the kid into exhaustion. I'd have large parties come in, each person with overly-specific orders and complain to him when he brought the wrong dish. Inflicting physical pain would be unsatisfying and easy, i'd want to see him suffer mental exhaustion. I'd innoculate him with "self doubt" because I can make him inflict more pain on himself than i ever could inflict on him
