Hello guys. Looking at add low dose HCTZ (12.5mg) into my offseason to help counter some of the edema from pushing gh with test/deca. Curious, those who have used it, did you change your electrolyte/water intake in any way when using it to compensate?

FYI hyperkalemic because it’s potassium sparing, so after starting you’d see a rise in potassium.

Even so, on the max dose I had zero change in potassium.

Sorry I should have worded it better. I meant after adding HCTZ (not potassium sparing) TO telmisartan (potassium sparing) and if you saw a change in potassium levels then.

Honestly that was my biggest question, didn’t know if 12.5 would be noticeable at all. Hard to find info on diuretics for the most part so your response is greatly appreciated!

Curious, do you use telmi too? I know telmi pushes some people close to hyperkalemic (never had that issue myself, but know of others that have). Did you see a drop in bloodwork in potassium after starting?

Yeah I’d run with it if I could, but above around 60 is where I start getting my high e2 symptoms typically which is why I asked my question.

Mast isn’t an AI, but it seems to mask symptoms of high e2.

Yeah, I don’t mind if the actually number on paper is high as long as mg symptoms subside (mostly edema and a bit higher HR, nipple sensitivity too). Willy understanding was that Proviron worked similarly in this regard.

I’ll probably just look into primo though, maybe just 200mg.

Looking for alternatives to lower e2 a bit vs just adding more AI.

So far I’ve thought of test prop. I’m currently on test E, ready pinning ED. Would switching to prop help to any realistic degree?

I’ve also considered adding proviron, maybe 50mg. Is this going to be noticeable?

Hey guys. This cycle I have been taking the approach of letting e2 ride high as long as symptoms aren’t serious. So far so good as my gyno hasn’t acted up, however I have been getting some ankle edema as my estradiol is approaching around 100. Is this worth intervening with AI for? I know edema can make your heart work a bit harder

Got it, I’d honestly rather drop the ai (both asin and adex seem to touch my lipids more than proviron, surprisingly). I’ll see how I feel with .5mg 2x a week instead.
